Change Your Password page requires one to know one's Current password.
Likewise, the "Request new password" link doesn't actually provide a new password, but rather automatically logs you in without one after clicking on the email verification link.
Hit the "Registration" button under "Utilities" on the left margin. Follow the "Forgot Password" link. Doesn't require that you remember your current password.
Yeah, I forgot my password too. Its saved on two of my laptops, but not my phone so can't log on from that. I also just got a Chromebook for travel and want to be able to post while I am away.

Thank you as well just tried it, but .... unless I'm missing something, the "Forgot Password" link on the Utilities page does the same thing ... it just automatically logs you in after clicking on the link in the email without an immediate option to change password.
Wait, I didn't completely follow instructions ... never logged out, so maybe that's the sticky wicket.
nope, tried logging out and then clicking on email verification and a no go to reset password without knowing old one.
It's possible I'm still doing it wrong ... and definitely not looking to give those who generously donate their time and play hall monitor with all of us a hard time, but 99% of password recovery systems don't require you to know your old password.
There's a button on that page - at least on my screen - that says "E-mail new password". Can you see that? Does it work?<<<
Yes, the button "works", but doesn't provide an ultimate solution ... since the link that gets emailed automatically logs you in without giving the user an opportunity to change the password (without already knowing current one).
Just tried with a different browser in hopes it was a cookie issue, but still no go.
i am in temporary, as i forgot my original password. i contacted admin, to help they might just send another password that allows you to change to a new one.
I don't know my password either. It's logged on my phone, which is the only device I can post from. I've tried to reset it, but it not possible. It's a hell of a quirk.
Your passwords are not visible to us so we can't send you your old/current one. We can send you an email with a password creation link... I don't know if it'll let you use your old one, so you may have to come up with something new. If you want/need a new one please send a Contact Submission and I will send you the link you need. You won't need to know your old one to accomplish it.

Look at the upper left margin
Look at the upper left margin:
Click "Edit Profile"
Click "Password"
Enter your current password in the top box.
Click "Request new password"
Go to the two bottom boxes to enter the new password twice (one in each box).
Tell me if that works.
