Cedar Point

Forums:

Just got back from a couple days over at Cedar Point.  I love that place!  Felt so good being back on the Millennium Force coaster after 12 years.  My step son and I got away for a few days of guy-time and really hit it off on every level.  Lines were totally reasonable... you have to expect some lines for the heavy hitters though.. we were walking on coaster after coaster yesterday for most of the day.

2 days of perfect weather at the park and water park.  Flights/rental car/hotel all taken care of with reward points left me with picking up food and park expenses only.  Had a blast and not feeling too light in the pocket today.

Check out the sweet video I took from the splash fort thing in the water park with my Go Pro.  This thing got PUMMELED with water and held up great- so fun watching this again.

Anyone been/plan on going in the future?

I used to go every year for my birthday when I was a kid.'the magnum' was the new ride around the last time I went but I loved going.

I remember when I was just old (tall)enough to go on the rollercoasters and it was a big deal because the year before I had to stick to the kiddie rides. I think the Gemeni was newer back then. I love the Blue Streak

Cedar Point is a retirement community here in Florida.

I think the requirement you must be 200 years old. Ambulance in and out every day.

It's the last stop before you die.

Yours looks and sounds a whole lot more fun.

Do they still have the old wooden coaster?

I remember when when they would add a new coaster every year, always bigger, better and faster than any others. The best coaster amusement park in the country.

and the islands (Bass Island?) around there was a blast when I was of drinking age. Everyone there was in party mode 24/7

We went this summer for the first time. Such a fun place ~ my boys and I are roller coaster junkies so we had an amazing time!!! It's beautiful on the lake. We will definitely go again!

I watched till you went down the slide. Whoooaaa.

Lol.

Looks like both had a blast. Fantastic.

>>'the magnum'

My stepson and I went on Magnum XL 5-6 times with absolutely ZERO wait time.  Pretty floored by that as, to me, it's still a pretty damn awesome coaster.  Definitely a little bumpy for a steel coaster when comparing to some of the newer designs but DAMN- what a coaster!
