Did you have a good ole time?
I saw lots of good friends, and one of my friends went from being basically indifferent to WSP to being instantly obsessed with attending every show they put on anywhere between here and Mars.
The show had maybe one or two too many sing-a-longs but lots of intense jams too.
What was that emcee saying between the second and third sets? I was trying to follow his reasoning, and he was cracking me up.

Something like "We're not going anywhere!" As if he was dispelling some rumor, even though the band members, as far as I know, were the ones who said they were done touring. Or was the emcee essentially saying' "Tricked you m&$#er f@%&ers!"
Then he was saying something about they'd be back next year, and the year after that. And even the year after that, depending on "how we finish the night."
I thought he might be talking about playing Nashville again on NYE, but the "We're not going anywhere" seemed more directed to the idea of the band (not) being on (sort-of) hiatus.
So let me get this straight: WSP will for sure play in 2017 and 2018. And they will for sure play in 2019 IF things go/went right during the third set of NYE 2016?
Dude can't confuse me. Folks call me "Too Sharp."

Listened to live stream 1st 2
Listened to live stream 1st 2 nites, just listened to NYE last nite, not really that impressed w/any of the 3 shows, all very stop/start, little if any extended jamming, and yes, agreed: lots of sing along's. Wouldn't have really been a fan of "A Little Help From My Friends" as the big NYE song. Or @ least my impression of these 3 shows compared to much of 2016, which to me was a landmark year for the band as far as great jammy energetic live shows is concerned. YMMV . . .

I checked a bit of it out,
I checked a bit of it out, pretty slow for NYE.
I am sure it was fun there, but nothing to listen to from home really.
This band seems to have just hit a point that it is what it is, no forward motion, just kinda the same ol thing.
I like a lot of old Panic songs, fun stuff, but they never seem to really recreate themselves
again, I am sure being there was ultra fun

the high point of the run was
the high point of the run was the 30th. It was solid throughout and could be felt by all. strong.
NYE runs are off the table going forward from my understanding, with only Nashville being the exception to the rule, because of ease of production and accessibility for all.
that being said, who the hell knows what these characters will do.
Bridgestone Arena is the second busiest arena in the nation behind MSG.

Panic is only good when they
Panic is only good when they tour & are warmed up after 3 or 4 shows (yup knew of another band just like that
), so if they're only doing "one off's" of 2 or 3 shows here & there all year from now on, I suspect they'll never really be as good as they were during much of this year's tours. I kinda had the feeling that the 4 shows I saw in Sept (2 Coney Is, Phila, Baltimore) may very well be my last, as it seems they'll never play up this way again & I doubt I'd ever travel for shows of the quality of this NYE run . . .

18 Climb To Safety
19 Good People
20 North
That threesome, in the heart of the 2nd set, at which point shoulda been chock full of psychedelic jamming, woulda been a HUGE dealbreaker for me. But then again, I'm not a typical Panic fan . . .

You mean if they can get that particular building, they might play NYE again in the near future? Would it already be booked if they were playing there next year?
