Fucking travesty. I was having all sorts of good feelings about Obama until I heard this news. Bradley Manning is nothing but an attention seeking whore that wanted to be famous. He blindly copied classified information and disseminated it without any thought as to what was actually in the files. He was never a whistle blower. Of all the things Obama could have done on his last days in office to actually help real people, he chose to help this fucker. He could have ordered a blanket commutation of people held over cannabis in federal prison, reclassified cannabis, or at the very least upper decked the white house toilet before trump moved in.. but nooooooooo smfh

If you agree (and I don't) with everything that you posted in the context of a sentence many times worse than anyone ever convicted of a similar crime + the six years of psych damage after so much solitary confinement, two suicide attempts and trans gender stuff in a military prison..... not like (s)he has not been punished - broken in two, even.

Fine, than put him in the pyschiatric wing of a federal prison. Ever since manning admitted guilt during the court marshal, he has been trying to escape responsibility. He released 750000 documents, most of which he had no idea what their contents were. He blindly distributed information via a talking giant douche for the expressed purpose of realizing some larger importance for his life than currently existed. Some of the information he skeeted all over the internet were the names of Afghani informants that were working, or helping, the US military. These people provided tips from road side bombs to Taliban and Al Qaeda meet up locations. Naturally, these people became the subject of taliban and alqaeda retribution. They even found these docs in Bin Ladens possession when he was thankfully liberated from this mortal coil. Manning is lucky he didnt receive death for what he did, not that I believe in the death penalty. Manning has never been a hero, or some troubled misunderstood person. A useful idiot at best; a villain at worst. Either way, he deserved to spend the rest of his life in prison. I wont even mention how we have spent the last two months vilifying wiki leaks and asange for the role they played in the last election, but somehow forget all about that in relation to manning.
