Pretty good price for Phil in the Grate Room.

I'll see some of you there.

This is a lineup that Phil feels completely comfortable with and vice versa.  And they all know "the material."  And Nikki with the vocal help.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few "dynamic jams"

This looks interesting. I wonder if they will be play the title track off the Thin Lizzy album or any Gravenites-Cipollina tunes. I'm in.

I would have enjoyed this one, but I already have tickets to something else in SF at the same time.

. . . over the edge, Babe, out of control.

(A lil' Bobby love)

Im wondering whether this show might be a better choice than this Wed nite 77 show?

Modern day dilemma .

Nicki was great at Philoween, this is a good combo of musicians.

Listen to me
If I'm an open door
Where you can come walk around
Listen here mister
Think again
Cause I got some news for you
Now I wouldn't mind ya
Coming around my home
If I thought
Your intentions were fine
But I'm about to take aim
I think it's a shame
Cause I thought
You were a friend of mine

Thunder and lightning
Is gonna come down on you
If you don't leave my woman alone
Thunder and lightning
Is gonna strike you down
If you try to break up my home

But I don't mind ya being 'round
Every night and every day
But if you're gonna mess around
With my little woman
You better stay well out of my way
I'm not the kind of guy
Who's a fighter by nature
And you should know that
You've been lucky til now
But this day's different
Don't you be so persistent
Or you're gonna find out right now
Well (Repeat Chorus)

But I don't mind ya being 'round
Every night and every day
But if you're gonna mess around
With my little woman
You'd better stay
Well out of my way (you know)
I'm not the kind of guy
Who's a fighter by nature
And you should know that
You've been lucky til now
But this day's different
Don't you be so persistent
Or you're gonna find out right now
But (Repeat Chorus)

Listen to me
(Thunder) thunder
(Lightning) lightning
Thunder and lightning yeah-ah
(Thunder) thunder
(Lightning) thunder and lightning
Gonna get you now
(Thunder) (lightning)
Ooh yeah
Coming to get ya
(Thunder) (lightning)
Thunder and lightning
(Thunder) (lightning)
Yeah yeah yeah
Come on
(Thunder and lightning)
Yeah yeah yeah
(Thunder and lightning)
(Thunder and lightning)

That IS a tough one for a show traveler, Treeflo.

Most likely, the '77 show will be a bit longer.  And who knows what guests will show up?  And TFB looks to be Phil's primary band this year.  They're already sounding much better than I remember from previous years and I wouldn't be surprised if they keep getting better and better, both individually and as a unit.

Living 20 minutes away, I'm willing to pay half price and catch a short show with a lineup that I personally like more.  Funny how they bill this as "Phil Lesh and Stu Allen."  Either that shows how much Phil respects/enjoys Stu's playing or he realizes how many people in the Bay Area are big Stu fans.

I think that you can't lose either way, but I am certainly looking forward to catching the Thunder show.  laugh

Hi JohnnyD hope you are feeling better. We just met the door lady from TXR in the hotel ES. She told us to come in anytime on her smiley We are everywhere

Sweet, Bart!

I'm hoping to be over that way to celebrate my birthday tomorrow.  wink

Thunder and Lightning was Gravenites and Cipollina, but this will be fun for sure! Maybe they'll play Pride of Man in honor of Nick and John.

Hey Now Johnny D you talking about this show

Monday the 23rd

7:30 PM

Grateful Monday: ft. Stu Allen, Scott Law, Brian Rashap, and Alex Koford

Lets talk, I sent you a e mail

I got your email, Bart.  It would be great to see you, if it all works out.

And I think that will be a nice little free Monday show.  Great guitar tones, if nothing else (but I bet that there'll be more).

$32??!!?!

wow, finally a reasonably priced show at phil's place.

i basically stopped looking, since every mediocre line-up was $79.

Here's a video from last night's TXR bar show with Stu Allen and Scott Law:
