The Jefferson Airplane bought this house from the descendants of Eureka timber baron John Vance (he also built the still standing Vance Hotel in downtown Eureka) in 1968, and owned it for the next 20 years.  They painted it black and gold for a few years before restoring it to it's original white.  Anyone here ever been inside?

This link has some info and pictures on Eureka's Vance Hotel:

It was a shuttered wreck when I worked just around the corner on the 200 block of F Street in the early 90's.  It was in the process of being renovated as I was leaving Humboldt County in 1999.  It's now a home to various community organizations.

Plan to check 2400 Fulton Street out next time I'm in S.F.

Thanks Mike.  I recalled that thread but was having trouble finding it.  Still curious if any of you all have viewed the interior?

Nitrous tanks in the basement.  Piles of cocaine and trysting beds on the top floor.  Bacchus would approve.

Yeah, I had trouble finding it too, plus your thread isn't a true Emily since you added the Eureka content.

Man that black and gold is really striking

Much better than the white Levi's
