Rolling Stones Not Touring In 2023

They were unable to reschedule the North America Summer dates they had to scratch when reputedly Mick Jagger had an issue with his ankle.  Supposedly, their new studio album is done, but we'll have to wait and see if they release it without a tour to support it.  Keith and Mick both will turn 80 this year.

Hope they can get back out on the road.  The speculation is that with so many other acts touring this Fall, both the availability of venues and the availability of key crew members and support personnel were at issue.  Between this news, Roger Daltrey stating The Who may be done touring North America, and Dead & Co. about to embark on their last hurrah, it's feeling like the end of an era.

The Stones just posted this photo on their Facebook page, so it looks like we'll just have to wait and see:

I think by now Mick and Keith have put aside any talk of “Farewell” or “Retirement” tours. The Stones will keep going for as long as Mick and Keith feel like it, and it seems they still like it, so they will be back.

Their friend Willie Nelson is still touring as he approaches age 90. Their friend Bob Dylan is still touring the world as he approaches age 82.

The Stones are not going to hang it up, until we finally reach the point where either Mick or Keith pass. When one of them goes, the Stones will be done. Until then, they’ll be back.
