11/08/01. This was one of the first shows post 9/11, the first part of the show has a clear 9/11 themed setlist, and it's amazing, especially the bass jam that builds into the first set as the band comes on.  The first hour of this show goes nonstop and it's perfect. Then a Terrapin that is over 23 minutes, in a sandwich with Stella Blue.

I was NOT at this show, but I've been listening to it since about the time it happened. It's heavy and liquid. LTTS!

Ha! This thread got me in a Q mood and so I actually  pulled up that Maritime show and started listening this afternoon. I've heard it before (or at least 2 or 3 of those Maritime shows, anyway) and this run might just be Peak Q. I wasn't there, but the tapes don't lie!

Anyway, what a coincidence that I get on here and Jamspace had posted this one!

One show to rule them all:

> this run might just be Peak Q

Agreed. The Q played a lot of great shows in 2001, but the Maritime's a small hall, and that gives this run the edge I think. I know I had a blast that weekend.

The Greek run in the late spring was also a great one. I can't decide between the Friday and the Saturday show (where I got to spend the first set backstage), so here's both.

Here's a show from the good ol' 4th of July (01). Remembering having no shoes or shirt and caring zero about it.

No doubt, but 12/31/2000 is the better of the two imo. 12/31/2001 was a very hot show, but 12/31/200 was truly an incredible night.

Beat me to it BSS that 4/20 show blew me out of the water when it happened....

maritime all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and all night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>>> but 12/31/2000 was truly an incredible night.

yep, especially with the night before bonus

heart I'm loving this thread! heart

If I could choose 5 soundboard recordings of the Q., it would most likely be:

12/31/2000

7/4/2001

6/1/2002

12/30/01

?

2/18/01 and 4/20/01 would be there, but there's already SBD's of those.

Greek run '01 has some insanely good audience recordings, but that "?" could be 6/30/01.

"?" could also be 2/13/01.

Note: Tomorrow will be the 11th anniversary of 4/29/12. I'll try to post link later...

The shows are great, but most of those Archive.org Phil sbd's sound pretty dry to me, lacking the all-important bass.

Release the box set Phil!!!

I'd rather see a release of the in-house video from the Maritime.
