The Cure Los Angeles Night 1 at Hollywood Bowl 5/23/2023

Thanks for posting this great quality video.  I went to the show in Portland last night and thought the band was fantastic.  My first Cure show so I'm really late to the party.

Also a tip of the cap to them managing the ticketing.  I missed the initial ticket sales but kept checking.  About ten days before the show a few tickets showed up at face value ($126 for lower bowl) and I grabbed them.  For general interest I kept track and more tickets dropped each day, all at face.  Closer to the show, resale tickets starting showing up and it looked like you couldn't charge more than $20 above face (and you could only resale on TM and not transfer tickets to scalp on other sites).   Compared to other ticket fiascos this year (looking at you Bruce) this seemed like they had their fans in mind.

Damn this is quite good

The first time I saw The Cure live I was 13. Robert Smith was a lot cuter then but the live performance was horrible and only about 30 minutes. It's astounding to me just how great a live band they are, by comparison to the 80's. That must've been a REALLY off night for them. It's like night and day.
