Rainiest Rainy Season Ever in PNW

Forums:

Well maybe not "ever," but at least since white people began keeping track:

Both Seattle and Portland set new records with the most volume of rain in Seattle and the most number of rainy days over the winter in Portland (145 days since Oct. 1).

Forks over in the Olympic Peninsula has so far racked up 116.1 inches of rain this winter.   At least we have a great snowpack going into summer.

Are things also growing more abundantly as a result?

Here's hoping!

Moss likes it, but the cool weather and dearth of sunshine has made it slow going so far for my vegetable/herb garden.   The fava beans, garlic, lettuce, and peas are cool weather crops and the only things that are really thriving.   Slugs quickly devoured some other stuff I put out, and everything else is just hanging in there.

The rising waters on the Columbia River flooded out "Tweaker Island" in North Portland forcing its residents to relocate:

i hiked this morning in the rain... so beautiful!!!! what a beautiful spring time!!

jill, not really. things grow super fast here anyway. i have noticed my yard trees are a little bit slow to leaf out, but still... they leaf.... the rivers are full and the mud is deep...

lovin it.

When it this wet (and muddy), I'm not inspired to work in the soil or plant things. Very lush crop of dandelions (no, I'm not eating their greens). My fruit trees have blossomed, so there's a future there.

Too wet to work the soil. Supposed to dry out for a week, starting tomorrow - we'll see.

I am in Northern Mendocino County just inside the Coast Range.........We are at 130" of rain here..........Ouch!

I am ready for a nice long dry spell!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile, in florida, 0 inches for the month of April ' ofer 26

But its not hot as fuck yet like it usually is at this time, the ying and yang of it all

Supposed to dry out for a week, starting tomorrow - we'll see.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!
