30 years ago today. Any lucky folks hit this run?
I still get chills hearing the crowd go crazy at the start of Dark Star. Memphis Blues gets overlooked in this show. My favorite version .... Bobby at his best. I can't recall a better Dear Mr. Fantasy either.

I was in Boulder so couldn't
I was in Boulder so couldn't easily get to Hampton. Plus, I had just been to Shorline for the Death Don't break out. The Warlocks shows were announced after the rest of the tour (if I remember correctly).
Was waiting to see if they dropped second Dark Star (which they did in Philly). Then bought tix and went to Charlotte>Miami>Oakland>LA Forum.

Bruce a tour friend sold me
Bruce a tour friend sold me his extras to these shows. The ticket I got was supposed to be for his mother, but after we heard what they were rehearsing he decided these shows shouldn't be wasted on his mother who really wasn't that into it. Thanks Bruce where ever you are today.

The Mothership was glowing
The Mothership was glowing that night. After the show was over and our minds blown, there was a fog in the parking lot and the street lights looked like flying saucers.
The shows were announced very late and tickets were only sold at Virginia ticketmasters, which caused lots of folks to miss these shows. I missed out on the first night after arriving late and scotching my ticket hook-up. After the Help-Slip-Franklin's bust out the first night, I was pretty amped for this show. I'll never forget the sustained roar of the crowd when they dropped into Dark Star, or the sense of experiencing something holy during Attics Of My Life.

^ I didn't dose in Charlotte
^ I didn't dose in Charlotte or night 1 in Miami. Got puddled 10/26 and was DFC in front of the board.
As good as that Dark Star is, the post space segment is very good.

I already had tickets to
I already had tickets to eight shows on this tour so when they announced these shows a week before they happened, and if I recall you had to go to Hampton to get tickets, I passed. Wasn't up for an eleven hour round trip drive to get tickets to two more shows.
Big mistake.

I had tickets to 2 of the
I had tickets to 2 of the Meadowlands shows but didn't have my license or a car(the no license part never stopped me). My ride left after the word spread on the Hampton shows and I still have the un ripped tix.
