40 Years of Anthrax

Forums:

I know there are a few people here who not only enjoy the Grateful Dead, but also the heavier side of the spectrum.  Anthrax turns 40 in July and are talking about each album starting last night May 3. Monday, Wednesday & Friday on the YouTube. In July they will do a webcast 40th anniversary show.

Each week beginning May 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and wrapping on the band’s official founding anniversary of July 18, Anthrax’s social media accounts will offer “Anthrax 40 for 40," a series of video testimonials that features former band members, fellow musicians, colleagues, and industry veterans sharing behind-the-scenes stories of working with the band, and what Anthrax’s legacy has meant all these years on. These videos will honor each album in chronological order beginning with the original release, Fistful of Metal

Saw them once at the Roseland Ballroom in the early 80’s.  They opened up for Metallica who were getting ready to release Ride the Lightning.  Good time.

I went to school with Joey Bellardini(Belladonna),used to know his brother very well. Among the Living still in the record collection but haven't spun it in a while. Loved the Stand connection

"Efilnikufesin'"

joey still plays in a little bar band around here, Chief Big Way

Always loved that band.  My bass player grew up with those guys -- his band went glam metal, anthrax went on to define a new type of music.

love love loved them

omg

I have enjoyed the way they are presenting these 10-15 minute mini episodes. 3 per week, or so. I pasted the links below for all that have been released so far.  They are still one of my favorite metal bands.
