Incredible video and audio clarity.
Closest thing I've seen to fully being there,  (and I was there.)

The Brent show. I have it on DVD. Was released years ago. The GD were supposed to play then and Brent died so Jerry filled in.

This is a bit beyond the commercial release (per the metadata on the youtube:

"I did a bunch of work on it in vegas pro, and with other video editing software to get rid of the interlacing, which involved initially DOWNSCALING the video to native resolution to get to the stated "30p" then went through a couple upscaling phases to get to 1080P resolution using some ai interpolation. If this had been a real "720p" video, I would have aimed for 4k, but it wasn't worth it given how much repair work had to be done to get to this level. I used the original production soundboard on this. Yes, I've already done the DVD. I am not sure what the source of this one was, but it was different than the DVD source. If anyone knows -- please let me know. There was obviously some kind of online or offline release of this show with the interviews outside of the release DVD."

Ah, that was a big night for me, all sorts of things happened at that show.

I got hooked up to see the Grateful Dead at Madison Square Garden the next month at that show. Seeing the GD in New York was a great experience for me, and it wouldn't have happened if a number of things hadn't transpired at that JGB show.

That was also the first JGB show at Shoreline, Los Lobos opened.

Such good times, such a long time ago.

I think I've watch/listened to this at least five times this week.

it's creepy scary detailed

Thanks for passing this on! Raging!

Thanks for the link, Treblemaker.

Good stuff

amazing clarity

I had the first set running while I was "at" work, so not so much watching.

Were there still shots interspersed or was my pic freezing?

Was there. Bought the worst seat I ever had for Shoreline, 202 X, last row of the pavilion. (I didn't stay there).

Strong show.

Thanks for posting.

This is fantastic. The zone comes through. How many days after Brent's death is this show?  Jerry was definitely pushing some emotions that night.

RIP Brent.

was there as well.

Yeah. I had tix to the GD shows that were scheduled. Then Brent died. Jerry filled in and it was one of, if not the most, spiritual shows I have ever been at. I admit that I was pretty high that night too.  Seemed like Jerry was singing to ME.  Like he and I shared a great loss with the death of Brent. And that whole show was for me. Was damn powerful.

I was there too. The show was September 1, 1990 so 5 weeks after Brent passed. A lot of us were hoping the Dead would play as a 5 piece band without a keyboard for the weekend but alas that was not to be.

Thank for the Memories Too Much Fun Club !! heart

great video !

thanks for the link

A+

Don't see any difference in quality from the DVD I bought or was given years ago. Has all the same stuff on it.

Some fun interviews at the end.  Love Melvin's stories about meeting Jerry and not having a clue who he was.   "You play guitar pretty good"
