How does the song go? Like a slingshot on mars from a paper canoe with flecks of starlight dew.

Couple shots of whiskey, where the wind hits heavy on the borderline, a box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through.

That's what I thought, too. Like it made me wonder if I was going to stick around but they got it together and I'm hooked.

Was anyone watching on this? https://www.periscope.tv/w/1jMJgqDoqMPKL

I watched UJB on the free nugs first tune sampler, then listened on floatilla after that...

phil clearly understands what he does that we love

No one who wasn't there is allowed to judge whether this was good or not, regardless of how many pictures Noodler spent all night linking.

Only one thing can really be ascertained from these show reviews. Goldy must have access to some serious 5-star acid.

^haha

Ha!

I won’t confirm or deny that statement

I’ll write more about last night when I get a chance. Today’s a travel day to Chicago. Ahhh....an old fashion spring east coast run. Last time I was out here was Albany > Giants > RFK summer ‘95. It’s all got me reminiscing...

Very different circumstances this tour than back then. In the 90s I remember we’d hit the first show of a tour with maybe $200 and a backpack. Often no more than a known ride to the first city and then having to make your way and new friends from there.

GD tour was my first lesson in economics and American capitalism at its essence. It was the art of the ‘flip’ - taking that last $50 you had, buying some cases of juice, water, some burrito ingredients - making it into something people wanted and hustling the lot to turn that $50 into $100. On and on until you had enough to get to the next city....for a ticket, a dose, some head nugs and gas to kick your ride.

Sleeping wherever I could...on the floor of the schoolbus that just let me ride, on the picnic table of midwest rest area, 8 heads packed to a seedy hotel room floor, or no sleep at all for a few days. It was a hard lifestyle doing it that way, and even as a teenager brimming with natural energy and vitality....it would run you ragged in no time. I remember one summer tour, the only showers our bus had access to in a week were sneaking into a Motel 6 swimming pool and all jumping in with our clothes on (laundry too!). Even the dogs jumped in

aahh...weren’t those the DAYS people?

You took showers?

Thanks for the setlist, Noodler. I appreciate it. The show sounded great.

I can't decide if I'm going to make the trek to Chitown or head for the cap?

Hmm Bobby or the kids?

aahh...weren’t those the DAYS people? >>>>>>>>>

Sneaking into a backyard that had an outdoor shower and a pool.

a case of bic lighters

JFK had the outdoor Armory showers

Yankees fuckin loved them all natural Florida boomers

>>> GD tour was my first lesson in economics and American capitalism

Over a one week period in I think 1980 a got called a communist for protesting draft registration and capitalist pig for selling I think bagels in the lot. Good times.

Surprised they didn't do more Pig tunes.

Is it that Phil and Bob don't care?

I wonder if either Phil or Bobby has a daily morning review of what happened on this day in the Grateful Dead, to base their set lists off.

No, they have lives to live.

Last time I was out here was Albany > Giants > RFK summer ‘95. It’s all got me reminiscing...

Minor correction.....

 Giants > Albany >  RFK summer ‘95.

My last six shows.

Call me a complete bourgeois but I always made sure I had a place to sleep before I went to a show.

Ah thanks Thom. You are correct sir!

tis very hazey

i did go on to Three Rivers after RFK. Had sweet mailorders in the first ten

rows for the rest of tour but traded them all in the lot for some head stash (you out

there dude) and caught a ride with some Burlington kids up to Vermont to backpack the green mountains

and ground out and get my head straightened out. I’d been on since Highgate and I was

a crispy cookie by then.

After some recoup time with Mother Nature, we headed out and caught both

nights Phish at Sugarbush!

Whole 3/8 show here, thanks Viola Lee Brad....
