Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros - VAIL, CO

Forums:

Looks like I'm heading over to Vail for the Saturday shoe.

PSA for anyone attending: Gerald Ford Amphitheater historically has been a bust for smoking weed. Stealth recommended.

The Chardonnay, however, will be flowing!

Sounds quite civilized

Safe travels.

Gerald Ford is a great place for tripping.

I need a miracle, finger in the air.

Joy there's decent sound outside the venue behind the lawn section. Big grassy field. Good luck!

Heads Up - the Vail shows are earlier with a start time of 7 PM local

I saw Dylan there 20 years ago and was amazed to see people wandering around with full bottles of wine.

Smoking wasn't a problem, but we were low key.

Nice venue. Enjoy!

Wolf Trap in VA used to sell bottles of Dom at the concession in the early 80's.

Here's the canned music they're playing pre show (I posted it last month, long live buena vista social club)

Hell in a Bucket

We've got a great outdoor venue at Chateau St. Michelle Vineyard on the east side of Lake Washington in Woodinville.  They have a nice selection of bottled wine to choose from as well as lots of food vendors.  Hope to be seeing shows soon there too, but unlike the other outdoor summer venues up here (Marymoor Park, Woodland Park Zoo) nothing has been announced yet.

Isn't weed legal in Colorado?  Maybe the Gerald Ford Amphitheater weed nazis should try some.

That El Paso was really cool. What a great night and Jeff got the star of the show in my opinion.

Nice looking set list. 2nd set reads like a nod to El Chapo's wife, who took a plea deal for some major trafficking charges yesterday, and may be joining her husband in Colorado or somewhere in the Federal Prison complex soon enough.

Dave, respectfully, that's a stretch.

Of course it's a stretch Ned, but we're still a DBMB  and Wolf Bros. is a DBMB band, so all you have to do is connect the dots.  Maybe a Corrina opener would have made it more obvious?

maybe Silvio

High Time > Death Dont Have No Mercy > Viola Lee Blues

A Bobby High Time surely sounds like hell (apologies to Richard Thompson).

Love them Wolf Pack's,, they always pack a wallop

RatDog vs. Wolf Pack. In a dogfight, who would win?

RatDog is singular,

Bobby up there alone with a microphone and an ax. Either it was his way or it was his way. Most of the times I saw them I had a great time, but there handful a few snookers too.

Now it's a Wolf pack.

Once they get packed up, with all them barkin, even Jay Lane, well then Bobby can step back and orchestrate whats going on without all manual labor too. Seems to enjoy it .

After watching the first night, Yea I would be skipping home with a smile.

Gotta go Packers......

Very slow but the loser is starting to get going.

Bobby's telling a story about Winona Judd.

Ramble on Rose

I was 16 and stoned out of my mind and this dude grabbed my arm and asked

What time does the band start?

7:30

He was 4 times higher than me and said

No Man second set 10:30

I always remember that
