maybe you can make it to the Cap :)

Yes indeed, the cap is tempting. Sweet set there, kicking myself for not getting tickets the first day.. Still checked at 6 and nothing good was there, sorta glad because i was exhausted from yard/house work.

Go to the Cap show Foghorn ^

I saw Gov't Mule last night at the Westbury theater and they lit the place up.

2 set, 3 hour show with Deep Purple teases on tap- Smoke on the Water & Highway Star. Killer Show!

Last Friday at the Cap had the feel of an old school Mule show.

Got a chance to wish the Mayor a Happy Birthday, and took my young boss, a Mule fan from the UK, to the show. I had to laugh when Rocking Horse came up. There was a period in the early-mid 2000s ('03-'06) where it seemed that I couldn't go to a Mule or ABB show and NOT hear Rocking Horse.

Set 1:

Hammer and Nails (The Staple Singers cover)

Rocking Horse

Thorazine Shuffle

Painted Silver Light

Larger Than Life

The Man I Want to Be

Fool's Moon

Far Away

Sin's a Good Man's Brother (Grand Funk Railroad cover) (first since 15 Oct 2002)

Mr. Man

Set 2:

Traveling Tune

Revolution Come, Revolution Go

No Need to Suffer

Effigy (Creedence Clearwater Revival cover)

Dreams & Songs

Time to Confess

Broke Down on the Brazos

Tributary Jam

Lola Leave Your Light On

Blind Man in the Dark

Encore:

Raven Black Night

Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground (Blind Willie Johnson cover)

It was a wonderful weekend...full of awesome music and energy :)

Gov't Mule - Bring On The Music

Bring on the Music....<3

People I woke up this morning
I thought it was just a dream
Another real good friend of mine
Lost his way it seems
Shook my head and wondered
What's happening to all my brothers
Made me stop and realize it's time to love one another
(It's time to love one another)

So, bring on the darkness
Tonight is gonna be our friend
Bring on the crowd
We're all family in the end
Bring on the smoke and mirrors
Spread a little love across the night
And bring on the music
Everything's gonna be alright
(Gonna be alright)

Thought I heard a stranger calling out my name
Wasn't so loud just so nice and plain
Made me ask myself and wonder
Is it my time
But I got so much to live for
(So much to live for)

So, bring on the darkness
Tonight is gonna be our friend
Bring on the crowd
We're all family in the end
Bring on the smoke and mirrors
Spread a little love across the night
And bring on the music
Everything's gonna be alright
(Gonna be alright)

People when I lay down this evening
At the end of a long hard day
I don't want to be another brother
That's lost his way
I want to look around me
And cherish everything I see
I want to look behind me
And know this is my destiny
I want to keep rejoicing
Till I said all I got to say
And when my voice is gone
Wanna pick up my guitar and play
(wanna pick up my guitar and play)
(Oh, pick up my guitar and play)

So, bring on the darkness
Tonight is gonna be our friend
Bring on the crowd
We're all family in the end
Bring on the smoke and mirrors
Spread a little love across the night
And bring on the music
Everything's gonna be alright
(Gonna be alright)
