What's this crap with buying tickets. today. Tried to get D&C tickets for Red Rocks as I've never been and my sister lives very close to it. Had GD tickets for there in 82 but sold them at Ventura. Waited about 45 minutes and when it was my time all the tickets were re-sale ticket's the lowest price over $200! Up to over $1,000. WTF!!!!!!

Whatever one may think of D$C, they routinely sell 20,000 - 40,000 tickets in boring to shitty venues.

Red Rocks is one of the great venues and it holds less than 10,000.

Of course the shows sold out in the blink of an eye.

Or the click of a super fast computer.

I expected it to sell out fast. I'm pissed because they made me wait 45 minutes before they got to me and then tried to sell me overpriced tickets. I guess Red Rocks will have to wait. Plus I was hesitant of going at that time of year. Must be freezing at night. Or snowing?

>>>they made me wait 45 minutes before they got to me<<<

I've never had to do that. I guess it's been a long time since I've tried to buy tix to something super popular.

I suppose breaking people into timed groups helps keep the system from crashing, but it's a bummer to not even have that lottery's tiny chance of getting through.

Thanks to COVID it wasn't even hard for me to get tix to the first round of the Giants playoff games yesterday, three hours after they went on sale. No good seats were available but there were plenty of cheaper nosebleed seats available, and at playoff prices I always look to buy the cheapest anyway and go to my standing room spots I like to hang at. In the past all those games sold out instantly and I always had to go through "inside" channels to get face value playoff tix.

(Now they just have to actually MAKE it to the playoffs so I can use the tickets)

And yeah, Red Rocks is always there. Pick a better show that's less popular.

Funny how those two things often go hand-in-hand.

September is a great time for outdoor shows in Colorado but October is unpredictable. It could be 70 with bluebird skies but it could also snow. I wish the best for these shows but Colorado weather is fickle.

I'm in for both!

What did you pay Woz?

I got in for face value both nights, $420 a pair. You had to just keep refreshing even when it said it was sold out. Took me over an hour to get the second night. The first night I get through the queue right away.

Thanx for the answer Woz!

$210/ per was  face?

Youza...

YMMV

Tickets were $199 and $99, plus fees.

Yeah, this was my feeling as well.   There were only $199 tickets left and there's no way in hell I would be paying this let alone what it would be with fees ... even as much as I would prefer Red Rocks over Fiddlers.  Perhaps there'll one day be "waiting rooms" tethered to specific price tiers so you don't have to throw in with the entire lot of people ... only to waste your time in the end.

Lotta well off white privilege in the zone

$51 t fees. Dallas. See ya at the back wall.

So, anyone wanna trade:

I need 2 x 19th.  Have 2 x 20th extra.  Respond here please.
