Do you think we’ll get a $20 concert tickets day this year?

Forums:

Unlikely imho but who knows?

I went to a $15 show a few weeks ago.

A string quartet.

Depends on the band.   I just paid $15 to see local Ethiopian funk band.

Also paid $35 (plus fees) for cheap seats for a Guns n Roses show in August.   I am sure there are other bands that will offer $20 lawn tickets sometime this year.

I bet you get a $20 ticket at the Joseph and the Technicolor Dead show minutes before showtime this weekend.  I custied up and have an advanced purchase ticket for Friday.

Are you talking about a Live Nation or other major promoter thing, or just some shows in general?

I would imagine that LN will probably do something like that again, as they're looking to cram a BUNCH of shows into their sheds in the late-summer/fall, and it will be interesting to see how many people will come out and buy tix right away.

If you just mean any smaller shows in general, certainly and as always there will be shows for $20.

I paid 25$ for Tony Levin this Friday night. But it was a 100$ table for 4 so I had to call my 2 friends and quickly make friends with a 3rd to get it down to 25$

I jumped on the Dylan stream also but I don't suppose that counts.

Molly Tuttle tonight in Atlanta for $25

I just bought tickets to see Cubensis in San Luis Obispo on July 3rd for ten bucks a pop ($15.64 each with fees).

I'd love to find cubensis around here for 20$

Yes, sort of. Dead & Company at Citi Field, $5.00 on the day of the show. Watch the speculator Scalpers take a bath. Pay what you want for the nose-bleed seats. Pick up miracles for free from real fans with extras.

I was happy to pay $35 for The Infamous Stringdusters at the Beach Park.

...Kitchen Dwellers @ World Cafe Live for $15 face, on sale tomorrow

Concord Pavilion had a 4 pack lawn @ ~$25/per  for Crimson/Zappa...

Jerry's Middle Finger for $20 (+ Ticketbastard fees) next month in LA.

Paid  $22 for BOC last week- well worth it -- great show....     (probably my only show this year)

Even free, D&C not worth crossing two bridgessmiley

I'd do a free MSG again, tho (but not seats on the "bridge"; behind two thick panes on glass).

Tomorrow

Slim pickings on show selections this year......

King Crimson and the Zappa Band next Friday at the LA Greek for $15. I'm very tempted, but probably need to pass.
