FYI, isopropyl ether (not ethyl ether) can form peroxides if stored for a long (?) time and can then explode spontaneously without an ignition or heat source if jostled, jarred' or dropped.
I have distinct and horrible memories of it when used as an anesthesia when my tonsils were removed in 1959. It was the one they used. Fast forward to 6/4/21 Primus will be rolling into town and playing said Rush album and I would like to re kindle our foggy memories.
