Fender Custom Shop unveils the Jerry Garcia Alligator Strat

I just want to remind everyone that RICK TURNER built the alligator

Because the fender press release overlooks this part

not a single mention 

Alligator is a 1957 Stratocaster given to Jerry by Graham Nash. Apparently Fender says maybe it was a 1955......

This paragraph in the article describes the changes Frank Fuller made at Alembic:

Acquiring its moniker from the alligator sticker located on the pickguard, this Alembic-modified Fender was fitted with customised hardware including Schaller tuners, Gibson ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic and Alembic custom bridges, and a hammered brass control plate.

“It’s a piece of American history,” highlights MacNutt. “And there’s a lot of things on it that are not Strat DNA.”

That pretty much mentions it all......

No. It fails to mention that all of the electronics and circuitry (half of what makes it an "Alembic") were designed and engineered by Rick turner 

It also fails to mention that all of the hand-fabricated parts (the other half of what makes it an "Alembic") were also all hand fashioned by Rick turner

The exception here being the prototype strat-o-blaster preamp installed in late 1971 (and as heard in the Veneta video, and also the same type later used in wolf). This was invented by Ron wickersham 

This is not to say frank fuller didn't have a part here, he certainly did.

Because his paychecks were signed by Rick turner

I realize this stuff isn't important to 99% of the folks who read it

but it is 100% important to the history and provenance of this instrument
