I missed the GD/Dylan shows in 86/87 because of being far away at the time.
What was the best show in 87? From what I've heard Anaheim fills the bill. Last show blowout with I imagine lot's of Hollywood A listers seeing their first GD show when Dylan was on the bill.
There's a bit of Dylan & The Dead discussion going on in the "Joey - Bob and the Boys" thread if you didnt already see it. While I didnt see any of the D&D shows in 87, it stands to reason that by the last show things were gelling and its no stretch of the imagination to think the Oakland and Anaheim shows were the best of the bunch.
That being said, my favorite show of 87 was the 6-30-87 Toronto show. I really wish some video of that one would show up. Pittsburgh was great too, as mentioned above. While not "pro-shot" there is video on youtube of the Pitt show that was shot from the soundboard. Too bad Shakedown St isnt on the vid because it was a smoker, but it captures most of the rest of the set with the Nevilles.

Oh. I did not see that qualifier. I did not catch any of the Dylan and the Dead 87 shows ether.
Anyway, that Pittsburg show was great. Too bad there was no pro shot video at that one.
