She's so fucking great.

And in so many different ways.

Slow down, time!

Damn, I love that lady.

Here's to many more.

the best

redhead and sassy, and peaceful and loving and soulful too

politics and conscience and soul, and music work

Blues, soul, country, ballads, she nails 'em all. And she can rock with the very best of them.

The last time I saw NRBQ was at the Little Fox, or Club Fox, or whatever they call that great, tiny little place in Redwood City, and she sat in for the encore.

GOD DAMN they blew the roof off that little place.

And the last time I saw the Rolling Stones she sat in with them, and she owned that too.

Bonnie Raitt can do it all.

Long Live Bonnie Raitt!

Birds of a feather at the Greek

Um, yeah, this shot kind of sums it up.

Love her and ran into her a couple of times; once when she ran out of gas; I didn't have my usual back-up 10 gallon stash at home but did have an AAA card...

So did she. Can you believe I let her use the phone?  ;)

Man what talent than woman has.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

Bonnie's so great. Glad she had those couple of hit albums years ago to live off of financially. And she finally got the notice she deserved, but she didn't let it change her.

She has so many great songs and albums. "Give It Up Or Let Me Go" is a favorite Bonnie tune of mine. Have a GREAT year ahead, Ms. Raitt.

Bonnie is the best. I've seen her a number of times going back to the 80s, and she just keeps on getting better and better.

I saw her at the LA Greek a few years back, and she called her dad, who was a Broadway actor, out on stage to sing a duet that was pretty sweet.

Bonnie rocks!

Saw PBS will be airing a Mavis Staples and Bonnie Raitt special tomorrow 11/14.  Check your local listings.

One of my favorite Bonnie Raitt recordings has always been the WLIR FM broadcast of Bonnie with a bunch of great friends at Ultrasonic Studios in 1972.

The entire recording is a great listen, but her version of  "Can't Find My Way Home"  at around 20:50 is really nice:
