I know many people who have already received their third vaccine aka 'booster' - sounds like the CDC will start recommending for everyone 5 months after last vaccination. I was pleased to see the Hawaii is going for 2 yrs jail time for the couple caught with fake vaccination cards. This could be a great time to use private jails...to house those people violating mandates. 

Honestly, I agree that an individual should be able to make the choice to vaccinate or not. But they should not have the choice to be out in the public potentially infecting others. Choose not to vaccinate? Then stay at home and order your food to be delivered. If you can't get to your job, it's because of your choice. 

As for fake vaccination cards, I'm happy to see some stated rolling out secure vaccination apps. It is a lot harder to be able to fake them.

I double there are many places where you could get together 1000 people and have a 50 yard radius between each one. For a thousand people that would be an area of 5,000 yards by 5000 yards or over 1 acre.

No COVID, is NOTHING like the flu. But both can be deadly to the right people. 

For me personally, I worked in immunizations clinics for 12 years. Haven't had a flu shot since 2007. Efficacy rate not high enough for me. And I'm cautious and healthy. I took my chances, and never got the flu. I kinda felt it's like "Black Friday" for the vaccine companies, a marketing bonanza I didn't want to participate in. 

COVID? I jumped at the chance for a Moderna. It's a freaking worldwide pandemic! It shut down our country! And the world! WTFU!  And a 90% efficacy rate? Holy crap, that's amazing!  

Got my first shot on Inauguration Day. Wore my Grateful Dead mask (a present). Dude asked, "Do you have a favorite song?" I said "Today? It's "He's Gone."

We had a long chat with my Dr niece over Labor Day weekend on Covid, so much info exchanged, so much depth to the discussion...   baffles the mind how incompetent the cult of conservatism is.  There use to be certain arenas where I could agree w/ conservatives, but those days are long gone...  too much BS conspiracy theories, arrogance of their superiority based on only diminishing the opposition, they just don't stand for anything anymore except anger and ignorance (though the 2 go together quite handily).

Great point you made, though. Although we tend to think that anyone who is not vaccinated is an anti-vaxxer, there is also a racial divide that has to do with economics and transportation.

It's not just the corporate media, and that's another part of the problem. Many non corporate media outlets are highly partisan, bordering on propaganda. They scream very loudly about the lies of the corporate media, which makes their listeners/viewers think that they are above that. They've created an us vs them situation, when in reality they are all in the same boat.

There was also a woman who took the numbers, crunched them, and came up with this:  If you are not vaxed and get covid, you have a 1 in 8 chance of catching it and a 1 in 61 chance of dying.   If vaxed it was a 1 in 13,402 chance of catching and a1 in 86,500+ of dying.    This doesn't take into account other factors but it's still pretty telling at a base level.
