How much money you think the Core Four rakes in these days?

Forums:

All the box sets and Dave's Picks sell out immediately. A limited number but still probably a nice little check to pop in a few times a year.

Fare Thee Well was a huge cash cow and there's Dead gear popping up in every store now. Not sure what kind of money that amounts to but they're getting something from it.

Phil clearly enjoys the finer things in life. And more power to him. Mansions, penthouse in NYC, exotic cars.

Bobby probably shelled out a few mil to create TRI but otherwise he's lived in the same house for decades and his prized car is a beat up old Vette. The DeadCo money has to be very substantial.

Billy just hangs in Hawaii and smokes copious amounts of weed while collects checks.

Who knows what the fuck Mickey does.

Guess I've just always been curious what kind of net worth they have. Hopefully they're raking in the cash. They deserve it.

Have no fear- they are. The GD dollars also spread high and wide.

They get nothing.  Took a lump sum payment when they catalog to Rhino.  Look it up.....

That deal with Rhino is been re-upped three times now at a considerable price tag, they made a nice sum on that alone.

Bob says he has enough that he doesn't worry about those hard to open Pistachios.

Do they get a share of all the GD/SYF crap being sold to people who never saw Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead?

I didn't know the Rhino deal had been re-upped several times. I've never seen a money amount for anything but it's gotta be way up there. Having the Core Four and Jerry's estate actually agree to a deal is proof of that.

Ken, I'd guess the legal/official one's have a licensing agreement.

Crazy that Hunter had to hit the road in 13 to scrape some medical bill dough together

Good money, download_48.jpg a day.

I hope Brent's daughter get's a huge chunk! I'm sure she must.

whatever phil earns; he deserves

Ferraris don't run on air.

Yet.

I don't think they're still using a rake. I believe the preferred tool is a front end loader now.

crazy that he didn't have health insurance

I thought Hunter denied that he needed to tour to pay his medical bills. Maybe that was just his pride talking?

It’s come to my attention that there is an article circulating from https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2014/07/22/grateful-dead-lyricist-force... taking a few quotes out of context from last year’s interview I did for a Rolling Stone profile.

Thank you all for your concern regarding my health, however I am grateful this is old news taken out of context and has been sensationalized. I am fully recovered, and I am not in need of any financial help or indebted, although I'm deeply touched by the immediate concern and overwhelming response of the community. The reason I have decided to come back to touring is to play the music I love and for the deep connection to my audiences.

I am going on stage not because I have to but because I WANT to. Reconnecting with the fans and the music is a powerful experience and not one that I take lightly.

Still kicking,
Robert.
