How rich are the core four?

Forums:

Phil drives the Italian sports cars, has the Bay Area mansion, NYC penthouse.

Bobby's lived in the same house for decades, drives a hybrid and his most prized possession is a beat up old Corvette.

Billy's eating mushrooms and gardening in Hawaii.

Mickey has a ranch in Sonoma and may or may not still do a lot of blow.

I have no problem with Phil selling his soul to Shappy, the GD50 cash cow or Bobby, Mickey and Billy sucking the teet with Dead and Company. These guys busted their ass for a long time before the serious money started coming in (with no hangers-on like in the 90s).

Any net worth predictions?

This website has always seemed somewhat accurate but I really have no idea:

Bob Weir- 30 million

Phil Lesh- 40 million

Bill K- 50 million

Mickey- 30-40 million

Priceless

Damn, I thought with all his ex wives, Billy would be at the bottom of the list.

Bobby's got the songwriting royalties but not sure how lucrative those are if they never really sold the songs. Hunter said one of the reasons he played some shows a couple years ago was because of some medical issues he needed extra money for. Boggles the mind how someone that wrote dozens of classics and lived a relatively simple life isn't loaded.

blow is expensive

mushrooms, not so much

Or is BK's property in Hawaii worth more. Maybe some good investing going on there.

The core four are rich beyond description

Were they ever here at all?

Mr Anastasio has them beat at $85-$95 million.

There's no way that Bill and Mickey are worth more than Phil and/or Bob.  Neither of those guys could sell out a 500 person hall on their own.

Apparently not enough yet to just play for life.

They must have shitty financial advisors.

By now the free shows should be raining down upon us.

Yeah, it's probably more on how wisely they manage their money.  Billy is said to have been the one with business acumen from the beginning.  If Jerry was still around, he would probably be at the bottom of the list.

The obsession with and begrudgement of other people's money, and these guys in particular, always fascinates me.

Play for free, or for cheap, or not at all because they're not as good as they used to be??? Good grief.

They work for what they're worth, like all of us try to do, as we all should do.

Anyway, I just noticed that Bob is courtside at the Warriors game again tonight, this time in Portland, and those tickets ain't cheap, so whatever his bottom line is he's doing OK.

Good for him.

Keep on chooglin' boys.

OP left out Phil's beach house.

Don't care at all.

Whatever they are worth is peanuts for the pure joy they brought me and continue to do so!!!!

As I am typing I can picture in my mind pulling into a lot with all the beautiful people and bright colors. Conversations and music. The wonderful aroma of weed, patchouli, and body odor floating through the air.

Jump out of the car. Walk around with friends for a bit. Shortly before the show throw down a tab (othertimes not) and just ENJOY THE EVENING!!!!!!!!

Sigh!!!!!!!!!!

I can only speak for myself, but I don't begrudge any of their success in any way whatsoever.  Capitalism rocks.

So Bobby was paying promoters all those years rat dog was doing shows

They're not getting any more of my money.

2004 Summer Dead Tour last ticket to see Bobby.  2013 Fall Phil & Friends.  Money mostly well spent over 37 years, but the bank's closed.
