It’s 2026, which band are you seeing next?

Here's a topic to talk about which band are you seeing next.
Remember what a wise man once said... live music is better - bumper stickers should be issued!

I'm seeing Skeleton Crewe tomorrow night featuring Barry Sless, Jay Lane, Pete Sears, Rob Barraco and Stephen Ingels.  I can't wait!

Last night in Portland I saw a new lineup (for me): Jerry Joseph w/ Wally on drums and Bobby Vega on bass!!

They are in Olympia, WA  and Seattle next.

I haven't seen Jerry much but have a new appreciation for his songwriting skills.

I'm going into live music retirement after 2026, I'll be dropping back to part time/per diem for a bit to soften the blow but there's a few other things i want to accomplish in this lifetime so need to free up some space

Our dog has really crimped our showgoing lifestyle, but we do have tickets for the following:

WSP -  St. Augustine (Friday and Saturday)

Billy Strings - St. Augustine (Thursday only so far and might have to skip it for work)

Bruce Springstein - Moda Center (if we can't see Billy)

Lettuce - Keller Auditorium

Cake - Edgefield

TTB - Edgefield

Probably get JRAD tickets for Pioneer Square

I forgot to add that my daughters have me going to Harry Styles at MSG in October and I am happily going with them to see Tame Impala in Miami in July.  My kids inherited my passion for live music :) of course it helps that dad bankrolls everything

Saw Steve Forbert last week, went down on a whim and got miracled outside the Brand Carlile show in SLC last night, and the Dusters are in town Thursday and Friday.

Not a bad February for this old fucker.

Just pulled the trigger for TTB in St Augustine in October (both nights, usual seats up top)

Also got JRAD in Portland.

But it's official we have to skip Billy in St Augustine this year due to work commitments (still going to WSP). First time missing Billy there in five years.  Boo!  Anyone looking for Thursday night, let me know.

Springsteen and Graham Nash in April. Can't do TTB in October cause I'll be in Kauai. I'll have to try and catch them at Bethel if I come up to NY in August. I have heard some reliable rumors about Billy K in the fall. Not sure if it's with the Kids, but hoping he does something while I'm in his home base.

Sorry to hear, Ken.  Hmmmm. Sure love that St. Aug venue.

Well, I finally made it to a show!

In the past this thread would've been my huckleberry, but getting out these days is a struggle, and even just a little late afternoon jazz show was something of a struggle, but I enjoyed it and am glad I made the effort and finally have a show to put on my 2026 list.

Edward Simon Trio, Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society Half Moon Bay.

A quality piano trio is clean, clear, articulate and creative, and Simon can really play. In my old age I find I enjoy that pure, spare style of music more & more, and especially with the glorious setting it was just exactly perfect.
