My neighbor's landlord (who is my neighbor on the other side) made him take down a big (8'x5' maybe) banner that was under the bay window.  Now there's a smaller cardboard thingy attached to the porch rail.  I wonder if he's filled out his ballot or if he plans to go breathe on the octogenarian poll workers on Tuesday.  

I'm looking around the house for blue and white markers/tape.

Just heard from a girlfriend in the Portland high-end burb of Lake Oswego.

Her neighbor, who had a Black Lives Matter yard sign, found a fresh decapitated deer head at the base of the sign... and so did another neighbor. 
 

Historically, Lake Oswego has always carried the nickname "Lake No-Negro".... but families w/ kids move there for the "good" schools.

What could go wrong?

Had a crazy neighbor scene a few weeks ago.  Signs but no ads or politics,  just "POSTED No Hunting" signs as required by law.

Of course I thought she was goofing around;  no sane person would act like that.  No, she's actually THAT crazy.

She rousted her husband to come out and pester me,  threatened to sic the Dog,  yelled at me some.

I de-escalated the situation, explaining that it's required by Law to post the property line to prevent Poachers. She was ready to shoot us or start a Canine fight.  My Hüsky was right there,  well distanced from the property line and on-leash.

The husband came out and apologized for Crazy Wife.  I felt bad for the guy,  but then again he's been encouraging that sort of behaviour for ages.

What makes me sad is that they have a Boxer-Pit cross doggy who(m) needs to socialize more,  and play with other Dawgs.

It's supposed to be a free country, and freedom don't come for free.

On 85 south here in atlanta someone was able to stick a 'trump/pence making america great again' sign in the median just past the 400 N split in an area that seems almost impossible to get to.

Within 2 days someone else crossed out 'great' and wrote 'sick' in what looks like the orange spray paint used by road workers.

i want to get a picture of it, but traffic hasn't been backed up enough to do it safely.

The judge hearing the case on the 100,000 ballots is reportedly the most partisan repub judge in the area, and he's called a hearing for Monday not giving the county much time to reply to the lawsuit. The issue supposedly is the legislature runs elections. It was the local election board that set up the drive up drop-off. Repubs are saying that's wrong. Oddly, the state supreme court said it was OK during that time when when first litigated. Yeah, let's throw out legally cast ballots. Fuckers.

We had one Trumpster in our 'hood - day after Trump got elected he put up his MAGA banner in 2016. We all pretty much laughed about it. Young couple too, he was a firefighter a she a dentist. They had a toddler.  He and his wife sold their home soon after, crying that nobody liked them. Which was true - after Trump won and they started acting like total asshats. It was as if Trump's  win gave them green light to drop their faux personas and come out of the closet as proFascist pricks. They picked fights with everyone here, over non political issues.

Saw a dude walk up to a huge bubba truck outside the Kevin Peterson Jr. vigil the other night and rip a Trump flag right off the truck.   Driver of truck wasn't pleased and did a u-turn and plowed straight toward the crowd leaving the vigil and pouring into the street.  Thankfully, everyone including me was able to jump out the way and nobody got hit.  Trump flag was then burned in the street.

There are no Trump flags or signs in my neighborhood, but back in 2008, I was living in the burbs and there was one house with a McCain/Palin sign.   Took my son trick or treating on Halloween and those grouchy SOBs didn't answer the door, even though it was clear they were home.  Needless to say, the sign wasn't standing the next day. 

But out in the rural areas, people really like their Trump flags and have to wonder what they will do with them all once the guy gets voted out of office on Tuesday?

I have a bleeding heart liberal couple on one side of me, Trump supporters on the other. I lie between them in a DMZ zone of independence and free-thought.

Although I don't agree with much of the Trumpers political leanings, they like to drink good wine and let us use their pool. So even despite their tendency to play Jimmy Buffet and Billy Joel, I like them quite a bit.

Now sure why people get so upset about other people's political leanings. Pretty silly to let it affect your chakras.

Nope, the president is merely just a talking head. They represent large companies interests.
