It is with a sad heart, I just found out Robin Pollack, has passed away last night.

Forums:

Her cousin posted on robins face book page.  It's been only 8 months since Bills passing. I will miss her dearly

Her cousin posted this on her face book page today.

Sorry to hear, RIP Robin

I met Robin at CAP shows one year.

Wow.  So sad.   Blessings to her friends and family.  What a loss.

That's awful news. Robin was a sweetheart. RIP

Wow. Huge loss. So sad.  She took Bill's passing very hard. She really was one of the good ones. We used to hang a bit on the old zone. She got up very early and I was always up very late. RIP Red.

Just sux and so sad... We were some of the 1st Zoners she hung with and traveled with us. She flew up from Florida and went to the EPIC Phil and Friends show in Glens Falls with us (Trey sat in ).... EPIC is not even close to the time We All had those few days. We all got to hang many times together at shows and they would come down and stay at the compound occasionally. Good times were always had...

Fuck this sucks and More and more of us are leaving the  tribe and its thinning out too much.

broken heart

That really sucks. I liked Robin, a lot of us did. She was "good people." Olson used to call her "Red." She brought a lot of good vibes to the Zone. Sorry Bill's passing hit her so hard.

Coyotte, so glad to hear ya'll caught that EPIC Glens Falls show. One of my all time favorite shows.

This sucks. Such sad news, damn it. I'll miss her.

heartheartheartheartheart

ugh

So sorry broken heart

RIP Robin.

She had to endure a lot of crap on the old PZ and always managed to rise above it.

Sad news. Rest in peace, Robin.

Levons Fall Festival at Gills Farm...

I never met her but I felt like I knew her. She was a class act on the black screen and I'm certain she was in 3-D as well.

I recall she had a huge crush on Luther Dickinson, and didn't she meet Chef Bill through the Philzone, or is that just a Lancian legend in my mind?

She always struck me as a happy person, and that's a good thing to be.

On it goes.

Yes, Lance they met through The Zone.. As many have , WE are still a Great Community .

Rest easy, Robin, fly off to Bill.

She was a sweet person that's all I ever saw, fiercely intelligent and wickedly humorous.

We will miss her. So much loss and sadness anymore. Good grief.

RIP Robin! Only meet you and Bill a couple of times in 3d but you seemed like a wonderful couple. You both will be missed. Fare Thee Well!

So so sad. All love and peace to Robin, captain of the grammar police and truly one of the good ones. There's been so much loss of late, and losing Robin and Bill cuts really deep.

And I never met either of them IRL. Kinship.

Love to all, no exceptions.

I never met her but she brought a good energy to the old zone. RIP.

RIP Robin. Too many these days.....

(((((((( Robin's Family ))))))))))

Thinking last night of Robin and the old zone. I remember the saga of her missing couch when she moved and the many sightings all across the country from zoners. It was magic, as Robin is

Am I right that the Glens Falls show was when that spark of love between Bill & Robin was born?
I think we may have shared that taxi ride back to Lake George?
It was an acid-soaked evening, bathed in the light of possibilities.
How can that be 19 years ago?
How can grief be so heavy?
This has been a brutal winter.

Zoner down

the two saddest words

Cam, no.  The Glenn's falls show was Robin flying up from florida and hanging with gitman, me, muletaper, mile the bar tender, coyote, and matt.  There was many other zoners in attendance and many of us went to pozs hotel room for pregame, and back to our hotel after the show.  I think we had the whole 6th floor.  The taxi ride was about 8 zoners climbing into a taxi and taking a detour as the driver wanted to smoke some pot with us. Robin was on my lap, and complained muletalers mic stand was hitting her the whole ride

I’ve known Robin since I was 5 and she was 6 years old. She was my much older crush where we sat next to each other in Mrs.Langbert's 1st grade class at PS165Q in Flushing. Robin and I attended Cardozo High School in Bayside at the same time and amazingly we were at SUNY New Paltz in lock-step for our college years. We've been in each other's lives for 60 years. At every turn, when we reconnected, the years melted away, we could laugh and hug and be thankful we always knew each other. It sucks losing Robin. We’re heartbroken at her passing. Her life was a blessing to all that knew her, Chef Bill, her sister Jacqueline, her family, we extend our sincerest condolences.

Thanks Rich. I guess I recall the taxi ride just from the fun thread about it after.
I kept close pulse on the Zone in those days, and that was my first time meeting several Zoners, probably you included.
The Pozzy's were kind enough to use travel points to get a 2 bedroom suite, which they invited us to share.
The balcony porch was epic, I'm so glad whomever captured that pic.

Cam,that was my photo, don't know who took it for me.  Yeah the cab ride was unreal.

Coyote just texted me, another zoner passed a few hours ago. Christopher mcgee, the og guy.  Died from a massive seizure.  We are dropping like flies

Fuck man. I'm talking to Popi right now.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Robin, but she seemed like a real class act with a great sense of humor. I can only assume she died of a broken heart after losing Bill.

RIP.

Robin was a kind presence, with a sharp wit, and natural sense of humor and ethics.  Part of a sizable crew of Colorado Zoners when I first logged on.  I always enjoyed my interactions on the black screen with Bill and her.  Had already missed their zoning for a long time.  Of course, this is a more profound loss.  Condolences to their families and loved ones, and all those who directly knew them.

Very sad to hear of Robin's passing ❤️

No -- this is sad.

Hard to believe.  She was sweet.

Never met Robin, but I always enjoyed the banter. I especially enjoyed her being the "grammar goddess" - that was her, correct? And we shared an appreciation of Luther Dickinson and NMAS. Felt so bad for her after Bill died. Goddamnit I hate these threads.

Very sad to hear this. Did Bill pass too?

Met them both for lunch at the Jerusalem in Denver.

Yes, Ned, Bill reportedly passed away about six months ago more or less.

Very sad to hear this.

Had a longtime friend pass last week. Liver failure. Self-induced. Very sad.

I was shoveling a path to the oil tank fill er yesterday. I heard a bunch of screeching coming from the treetops it was two eagles.one flew off and the other perched itself on the tallest tree on my property. I said goodbye to Robin as she assented in the form of an Eagle! Peace sister I see you and Bil will be soaring the heavens together!

One of my favorite zoner memories is Robin, the Chef, BoxofEyes and me crawling through the rural York county in PA in search of the Snail Pie Lounge. With no help from google we eventually found ourselves at the venue and scooped up seats in the first two rows for Luther Dickinson & The Sons of Mudboy. Robin melted in the presence of Luther.  Great show, great times exemplified the best of what zoning was all about.  Cheers to Robin and Bill!  Good job and welcome home!

Gosh I loved her,

she had a way of making you feel like you were her best friend

in the moment

in her Presents

on the Black screen and off.

Bill is a gem. Their love  an inspiration

Phil brought us together

and still does

I'm stunned.  Rest in peace Robin.

Howard I'm really sorry for you losing a lifetime lifelong friend.

ZonerDown is indeed a heartbreaking pair of words

RIP Robin. There are only a handful of people I can say our paths intertwined for 60 years. Seeing the kind words shared here is helpful.
