My music video: 1887 Railway Disaster, Montreal Express

Forums:

Hey there zoners... I recently fulfilled a dream, and made a music video/historical micro-documentary about the Feb 5, 1887 railway disaster over the White River in West Hartford Vermont.  I wrote and performed the song, and created the video using historical photos of the aftermath of the tragic accident.  It was 20 below zero when three cars fell off the bridge and burst into flames, which in turn caused the wooden bridge to burn and fall onto the burning train cars.  The river was so frozen over, the rescuers could not pump water.  Many people died.  You can read more and see the video here:

The Return Of The Son Of Mini-Movies?

Well done Lazyriverbob, I really enjoyed what you put together.

Amazing there were actual photographs from the scene, and You tied it together nicely with the song you wrote.

I'm a bit of a geek, and I like to study where the old railways went, and check out old historic buildings and such along the routes.

Thanks for sharing your work. yes

Great job, Lazyriverbob. I like all of the parts; your lyrics, music and video. Great photos. Interesting and tragic event, I liked seeing that they switched from coal and oil to steam and electricity for heat and lights.

Thanks for posting it here.

Nice.  Thanks for the video and history lessons.

Thanks, folks.  A lot of work went into that little video!  I appreciate your checking it out.

So....what's been going around here lately?

I have a small problem...My good friend bought me a ticket to see Phil at the Cap on Sat. 3/16, but I'm thinking I should not go, as much as I love to see Phil and his friends.  If I go, I'll probably get tinnitus and a migraine.  It's just the way it is at this point in my life.

I check in here once in awhile, but I keep having trouble with passwords, and it seems like the program never remembers my previous password.  So, more often I read posts here, without writing.  With Philzone.org, I never had that problem.

By the way, thanks Judit, for spearheading the project of making this website available for all of us who miss the original Philzone.org

This is a great site!

Nice work Bob, I enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting here on the new zone.
