Harley-Davidson is getting into the electric bicycle business

Harley-Davidson has spun out a new business dedicated to electric bicycles and plans to bring its first line of products to market in spring 2021.

The new business called Serial 1 Cycle Company started as a project within the motorcycle manufacturer’s product development center. The name comes from “Serial Number One,” the nickname for Harley-Davidson’s oldest known motorcycle.

I wonder if they take trade-ins?

I've actually never ridden a motorized bicycle before -- my mountain bike fanatic friends are not fans. They say they are unsafe as they go too fast and the inevitable accidents are more severe, resulting in more damage to the bike and/or rider.

But I can't wait to be zipping around the grounds of the retirement community in my new Hog.

They can't possibly give you enough on a trade to justify parting with that bike.  Need a more colorful seat

My guess $3,000 -$4,000

it looks pretty sweet for a bike

next generation Lemon Peeler

Probably the smartest move is to buy one and put it in storage so when American Pickers airs in 100 years, your heirs can unpack it it a sell it as a century-old pristine first edition Harley product.

Do you ever watch that show? That guy loves old bikes and sometimes pays hundreds for just an old bike pedal or bike horn that doesn't work.

Schwinn bikes, skateboards and BMX biking in SoCal in the early 70's. Good times.

Turtle, how do you (not necessaarily you personally) ride a bike holding a surf board?

Like this or like that? Those side racks seem very awkward, especially riding on sand. ( I never even knew they made those.)

lol, many people have that side rack.

i have a trailer...one for shorter boards, one for longer...I have a hitch mount that i made on the rear rack. similar to the pick, but the baords lie flat.

the beach i ride to is about 5 miles away, takes 20mins door - sand.
