I had like 10th row seats once at a show in New Haven, and during a break between songs here comes this big biker dude walking down the main isle straight toword the stage. A security dude tried to get him to go back but 10 security guys couldn't have stopped this huge bastard. And he walks to the front of the stage where Zappa's looking right down at him and the dude pulls something out of his pocket and flings it so it lands right at Frank's feet, then he just turned and walked back to his seat not even looking to see Z pick up a medium sized American flag, and hold it up to the crowd. On the flag the dudes wife (I walked over later to thank them) had embroidered Zappa For President. The crowd went nuts. I only wished someone had a photo of it. I think it was the tour when Vai still had his blue hair. Fuckin miss Frank lots. Nice thread + link.
