Nice, but middle of week is no bueno.  Hoping for webcast.

Nice set o friends

one of these people is not like the others - not bad though!

Oddly enough I'm feeling rather salty today

(reading the news w all the desperate white backlash / trumpsnzee tromping over the "right")

One of those band-members/nepotism makes me think of the White House   And its current manifestation  Including one of the senior advisers whose parents participated in the college admission scams   Not to mention the Donald himself

Rob Barraco is not on the same level as Molo.

Couch shows.

I love Jorma, but they need another A level guitarist in that lineup.

Sless or Larry C in there would have been great. Oh well.

Sless in place of “Lesh” would be great.

>>>>Rob Barraco is not on the same level as Molo.

no - people are referring to Phil’s son, Grahame

Barraco and Molo inhabit similar levels

Admittedly, Grahame isn’t my first choice for second guitar player either (I was hoping for Larry Campbell as well & Sless woulda been a great choice also), his inclusion certainly doesn’t deter me from these shows. I haven’t been to the Cap in a couple years & this is definitely a good reason for me to go back.

Plus it’s Phil & Jorma. FUCK YEAH!

This will be good. See you there!

No they don't and that's just the way it is.

yesyes

That's just the way it is
That's just the way it is

Well, they passed a law in '64
To give those who ain't got a little more
But it only goes so far
Because the law don't change another's mind
When all it sees at the hiring time
Is the line on the color bar, no

Could be much worse. Now add Herring and we're really talking

Also this is presumably the band going to Mountain Jam, so very decent Warren potential at least there if not at these shows

phil is a joke nowadays.

Not every lineup is awesome, not every show is perfect.

he may or may not take shortcuts with  line ups

And some are weak/  ( I love my kids but not sure that I would bend the rules as much)

just ask heathen-  the boy can still lay it down : melodic funky creative

and still kicking it

and I can attest to that with a grin on my face and some bounce to my toes

"a god". In small letters...

I should count my lucky stars for every additional time I get to be in the room with him

Last nights show was killer, Phil was on fire!

^ and Graham is getting better every day...i dont care what anyone says, this kids obviously been putting his work in etc

Absolutely. Grahame does not deserve the flack he gets around here.....he woodsheds and it shows.

"I should count my lucky stars for every additional time I get to be in the room with him"

I do.

It is phil getting the flac by the way.....

And I had observed Grahame improving some for a few years

it's just a different league,  and that's just my opinion, it certainly isn't his fault but there are many many players I would rather see in that band

I do remember the first show in the great room starting with a recording of Terrapin station

to my eyes I thought that Brian was a superior musician!

And I'm glad that phil glommed onto stu early and strong

homers gonna home

long live gonna pontificate

Long Live Pontification!

I'm looking forward to this lineup.  When I saw the Family Band at the Cap with Jimmy Herring, I thought Grahame and Jimmy would have been just fine as the ony two guitarists.  The last birthday run at the Cap was great and Grahame's vocals and playing keep getting better.  Jorma will be a blast and this band can pull off some harmonies with practice and/or luck.

Does anybody know if Jorma has played with Phil since '99? Looking forward to these shows!

Jorma sat in with Phils band a few times in 02. I remember at Hershey he was invited onstage during the first set.  GDTRFB I think.   Jormas band opened some of Phils shows that summer...Blue Country was the album.

Not sure other than 02.

Jefferson Terraplain

Don't play GD music. It's not Jorma's bag.   .

I wanna hear Phil play Funky #7.
