(kind of wish I was still working main stage sound crew!)

Would be more interested in Zero with Melvin Seals

Ace of Cups!

Sweet! I wonder how awkward the backstage / after party will be with PNG and Phil both there, or if they kissed and made up. Would be cool to hear Kimmy play with Phil again.

Which day?

>>>>kind of wish I was still working main stage sound crew!

Indeed.   Because unless you stake out a spot early up close, main stage at OCF kind of sucks for sound quality and line of sight.

Phil and the Family Band is coming up to Oregon again for Pickathon a few weeks later (but I will be down in Fla for WSP though).

Anyone doing NWSS this year?   About to pull the trigger on tix.

Bump for which day?

And agreed that OCF main stage meadow is too small. Between the increase in attendance and the refusal of the fair to do some reasonable trimming of the trees, that space is getting small.

The entertainment schedule isn't up yet. It's a little early, historically.

Def. the best headliner lineup in a bunch of years.

Yup, gotta get there early and stake out a spot, but IMO the sound is usually pretty great. Excited to see Phil, of course, but even more stoked for the Zero/Melvin set. Plus ALO, Ace of Cups, and the Everyone Orch.

It will be crowded this year - prob. even more so than the last few. And the mosquitos will be awful due to all the rain and flooding this year - they're still rebuilding all the structures, booths, and infrastructure that was washed away this winter.

But it will be big fun this time around. Get your tix soon 'cause this one - Sat. anyway - might sell out earlier than is usual.

Where are Sless, Molo and David? :)

Portland Ken - we are thinking of taking the week off  for FAIR > String Summit... will keep you posted.

DSO in the Horning's Hideout amphi would be cool!

^^^^

They just announced the music slots for NWSS and DSO is headlining Thursday night with two sets.   That will be cool.

Keep me in the loop on your plans.  We plan on being there first thing in the morning on Thursday to snag a good (i.e. flat) camping site.   And enjoy OCF.  I know folks that do the "trifecta" of HSMF>OCF>NWSS every July, but my summer is already so jam packed I will likely skip the fair.

>Ace of Cups!<

are also playing some trinity county festival coming up.

who is the polish ambassador??

Per Google: The Polish Ambassador, real name David Sugalski, is an American electronic musician and disc jockey from Oakland, California.

Ken -  DSO only on Thursday?  Will have to look if I can buy a 1 or 2 day ticket! This could work out well.

I've never seen Ace of Cups, so will add them to my fair schedule!

Turtle: Polish Ambassador seems to be a popular sold-out show when he visits Portland. Fair schedule leak: https://thepolishambassador.com/shows   (Sunday, 4pm)

Portland Ken > Strummit is very crafty w/ the ticket pricing... $65 just for the Thursday add-on.. which *must* be accompanied by a 2- or 3-day pass.... and I'll want to go home by Saturday. Wish I could sell the wristband -- it's most economical to buy the full 4-day pass if Thursday is a must-attend day...which in my book, it is. Ghostlight plays that day, too!

>>>> $65 just for the Thursday add-on.. which *must* be accompanied by a 2- or 3-day pass

I think part of that logic is that they don't want someone paying for just Thursday and then having to somehow make sure they don't stick around for the whole fest.

There are 3 posters for this year's Fair:

Those posters are sweet!

Nice!

Thanks Judit, I love all of them! Wish I had more wall space.

I might get the T shirt - will they have all three or just one on a shirt, I wonder?

Not really too into the fantasy realm, but MAN shanna’s paints are just off the charts every time.
