i was going to type out a well articulated reply, but you really never are capable of giving the same courtesy when someone asks a question.
Its true that in the grand scheme of things, the Russian hacking is not that big of a deal when compared to all the intrigue and espionage of the Cold War where both the USA and the Russians did very bad things to each other and far worse things to their respective third world proxies.
What makes this different is that every previous president, both Democrat and Republican, had at least made the appearance of standing up for America, whether it was Obama's or Carter's targeted sanctions or Reagan's bellicose rhetoric. No prior president has so blatantly kissed up to the Russians like this. Not even old ailing FDR at Yalta. As much as I hate to talk about Trump, this is truly an outrageous and stupid act of weakness and appeasement.

It'd be interesting to see if they'd be so reckless by adopting the same modality of thought process pertaining to other life events that required a sober risk evaluation? It amazes me just how far cognitive dissonance can over-extend someone's rational belief system. If the situation were reversed and it was Hillary that looked like she might be in cahoots with foreign powers and oligarchs seeking to infiltrate the political process, I'd want to make damn sure it wasn't the case ... the stakes are simply way too high. Political ideology is one thing, but war is quite another; whether it's from abroad or of a civil nature.
