SUMMER 93

I thought Expo and Shoreline were quite good, at certain times better than good.

That Supplication would be have better placed in the second set but still a nice effort.

anything with Vince is meh at best..especially after Hornsby bailed

Jerry was very much present on this tour. Fall tour not so much.

^^I don't know dude.  JPs right about these May Shoreline shows. 5-21 set 2 and 5-23 are raging. Plus the drums/space for these are pretty great.

Vegas was a fun time, those shows hold up.

^ YUP.

I went to the Spectrum shoes in the fall. Jerry was shucking clams nightly. Phil was a monster (especially on that Other One)

I got lucky I think that fall. The Richfield shows were pretty decent although I had to miss the 3rd night which was the best of the 3. Then I saw the second 3 MSG shows with the guests...and the Boston run.

I distinctly remember being stunned at how good the Morning Dew was in Richfield

Spectrum '93 was great until the Crazy Fingers on the 14th.  A train wreck that the never recovered from.  But 9/12 was tight as a drum and 9/13 was a fantastic dream of a second set (if they had played The Other One instead of Easy Answers out of space it would have been a perfect set).

This is my favorite So Many Roads. Jerry screams it 'cause he means it.

Great scene that day.

Spoonful>He's Gone and my only Crazy Fingers.

Hot day on lot with a crazed drum circle and half dressed girl playing gypsy runs on a violin.

Hey red I did the whole tour except Chicago. Vended my way to DC.

I was in Vegas in '93 and had no idea that Zero played after one of the shows.

>>>>I was in Vegas in '93 and had no idea that Zero played after one of the shows.

I was there too.   Sting opened that year, right?   Went in the first night for Sting but skipped the opening act the next night or two to sell beer in the lot before the GD went on.   Raked in serious coin with the beer during that run.   At one point, we were having a hard time keeping up with the demand and had to keep refilling the cooler without time for the beers to chill properly.  We found out that the customers didn't care as long as the beer bottles had been dipped in the ice water for a few minutes and were "cold on the outside."

Vegas shows were fun but only one night in 91 did we stay in town.  The rest of the time, we made a bee line after the show to Lake Mead and partied on the beach.

^^^ Bam Bam gettin’ it on the drum

Pretty sure Jerry got lost in the middle of his Stella Blue solo in NJ.  Also, that thin, quasi-acoustic tone had kinda worn ... well... thin by then.

That's from 1994 Eugene, the final Autzen shows.  You can tell because Garcia looks much more run down than he did in 1993.

The live footage in the broadcast is also "Greatest Story" which was only played in '94.

Cool clip though, not your fault whoever uploaded it didn't know what they had.

OREGON DEAD FTW

Good eye on that Terry and thank you for the correction.
