That sweet new tax bill

Looks like trickle down economics isn't working. Deficit up, the working man gets screwed.

President Trump said Thursday that civilian employees working for the federal government won’t get pay raises next year to save money as the federal budget deficit continues to skyrocket on his watch.

“In light of our Nation’s fiscal situation, Federal employee pay must be performance-based, and aligned strategically toward recruiting, retaining, and rewarding high-performing Federal employees and those with critical skill sets,” Trump wrote in a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan.

A 2.1 percent across-the-board increase was scheduled to go into effect in January.

The proposal would affect most of the 2.1 million federal employees across the US, about 1.7 million of whom live outside of the Washington, DC area, The Hill reported.

Members of the military will still receive a promised 2.6 percent pay increase.

article indicates this would cost $100 billion, almost all goes to the top 1%.

article also says this may be part of the new tax cuts the House is expected to pass next month.

the other shoe will drop when you file 2018 taxes...folks will not have enough withheld and majority will owe...the tax break was for payroll withholding...
