"MNC Chairman and CEO Tanoesoedibjo said his group had not received any financing from China for the Trump-related project. It has previously been in talks with Chinese banks for loans but that was for a separate theme park it was developing, he added.

The two upcoming Trump-branded resorts in Indonesia will be developed in stages within three years and MNC plans to invest $1.7 billion, Tanoesoedibjo said.

The projects will include hotels, villas and golf courses. They will be developed by MNC and managed by the Trump Hotel Collection, a unit of the Trump Organization.

Tanoesoedibjo ran for Indonesia’s vice president in the 2014 elections and subsequently founded his own political party, which contested Indonesia’s general elections in 2019.

His party has put forward his daughter, 32-year-old Angela Tanoesoedibjo, for a cabinet-level position in Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s government, media reports say.

As a business partner of Trump, Tanoesoedibjo has previously said he believes his relationship with the U.S. President could help ties between nations."

The cool thing about this piece is the mixed colors and the little crystals of green, red, and yellow in the rock (alabaster).

^ originally, I was going to carve a psychedelic VW bug out of that rock because of all the swirling colors, but it didn't have a chunk for a front fender.

I still want to do that, but will probably have to wait til spring until i can root around in the stoneyard.

Unlike some of the other carvers I work with, I tend to go with the existing shape of the rock, rather than treat it like a blank slate of material to engineer.

I made big progress on cheeks this time, but still need to work on carving realistic-looking lips -- I've been imprinted with Rolling Stones lips, but that's not how they are. The upper lip is especially tough to get right.

I understand your angst. These old guys post nonsense all day and night and you have to read it. It's like you're addicted. Hey, we all have our dirty habits. And being attacked -- oh my -- sounds awful. 

And there is a difference between norms and rules. Courtesy is a norm.  As mentioned, it's more effective to start your trolling with innuendos, then mild taunts, then move on to clever retorts, and then...profanity. If you start with the"fuckin idiot" thing you got nothing left.  As for rules ..... ha, that usually doesn't work with Deadheads.

Looks like he benefits if a resort is built there (on top of a cemetery) if he maybe gives the Indonesians something in return.. like vaccines, perhaps?

I think I believe Slacker -- you are probably a sock. You kinda remind me of Gregulator -- you know him? He occasionally also had interesting music posts. You should stick to those.

I think where the Boomers went wrong is giving all the little Ras-es brand new Nintendos to shut them up on the way to swim lessons, when playing Army and sneaking into the local quarry were perfectly good, character-building activities. All grown up and they can't have an intelligent conversation without name-callin. 

Plus, hiding the weed in the underware drawer was probably a bad idea.
