Does your area have any cool Haunted House attractions or any cool Halloween activities?
My wife has been trying to get me to go in a Haunted House attraction for over 10 years now & I would never go. I am going this year & have committed to going with her to one of these 2 below this coming weekend.
Here are the 2 that we have to choose from that are closest to us.
Blood Moon Farm - http://www.bloodmoonfarm.com/ - Farmhouse, Hayride, Slaughter House & The Bayou
Fear Forest - http://www.fearforest.com/ -
We went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH about 10 years ago & it was fun but I didn't go in any of the Haunted House attraction, but whimped out and only walked foggy midways where ghouls would walk up to you in the fog. We didnt even go down the "scary" midway in Frontierland. If you are a Halloween freak i highly recommend HalloWeekends at Cedar Point. It's pretty kid & family friendly too, plus all the coasters & rides. They even have some new thing where you can wear a light up necklace & no one scares you.
https://www.cedarpoint.com/halloweekends - 6 Indoor Haunted Mazes & 6 Outdoor Scare Zones & many other experiences & entertainment attractions.

This is the one of the
This is the one of the baddest ass haunts in Ohio. The Mansfield Reformatory. Supposedly haunted for real, they have ghost hunts year round of different kinds.
During the Halloween season they set up the old prison as a haunted house. They even have one feature where you can pay extra and you agree to get touched as you go through their haunted house setup at the Reformatory.

I may have to go to one of these Ghost Hunts sometime. It sounds like it could be hair-raising!

I'll probably never go in one one of those after the infamous "Great Adventure Haunted Castle" tragedy. Article linked sums it up pretty well...
http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/news/local/new-jersey/2014/05/11/...
What they don't mention is that the 'attraction' was made out of old cargo containers and spray-foam, had shitty wiring and no safety exits or emergency lighting. Totally negligent on the part of the mobster ownership. Of course ownership changed through various shell holding corps.
I actually worked at that amusement park in Summer 1983. Never went in that 'attraction' although I had free unlimited access to the park. It was just too fucked up and creepy. Roller-coaster doing 60 MPH, fine. Free Jimmy Buffett show, fine. Haunted Castle, no way.

I love horror movies and can't get enough of 'em but I am a super wuss when it comes to haunted houses! I run out of them or if they are rides, I hide my eyes lol.. When I was in high school, a friend of mine dragged me through the haunted house at Dorney Park - I RAN out of it and left her inside.. as i was waiting for her at the exit, Freddy Krueger tried to pick me up lol!!!
and i love halloween lol go figure..

Did you know you can rent the cell blocks of Eastern State Penitentiary by the hour? I have some friends in Philly that are amateur film makers and they rented the place for a couple of hours to shoot a short film. Because of the cost, they shot much of the film on a makeshift soundstage elsewhere, but they had the run of the old prison for a few hours and shot as many scenes as they could.
