Thank the Ruskies

Forums:

just turned on MSNBC to watch a little Chris Matthews.

Did you guys know that the Russians are the reason Trump is going to be president?

When Matthews asked his guests (a few obscure democratic congessmen still sporting red asses) why the Russians would want Trump in office they were a bit less decisive.

One mentioned Rex Tillerson, a " Friend of Russia" who came out of the woodwork within the last few days to grab the secretary of state job.

Seems the Russians knew Trump was going to select Tillerson for this job before Trump even knew who this guy was!!!

Im not sure who's smarter. The folks on MSNBC or the Russians?

Chris Matthews is crazy. Who listens to him?

Putin's big oil man buddy sec of state . Trump saved the best for last this cabinet is unbelievable.hope you fuckers ate happy who put this guy in power.

Trump promised a yuuuge change from the norm, and he sure as hell delivered. He put a fox in every hen house.

The head of the EPA has sued the EPA 10x and doesn't believe in climate change.

The Sec. of Education is borderline anti-public education.

The head of HUD believes poverty is a choice.

Foreign  policy will now be based on oil interests. Well, I guess that stays the same.

Wait until the head of Monsanto leads the FDA.

If you control food, shelter, transportation, and education, you are king.

Putin says no worries.

Things R gonna B grate.

What's actually going to change?

What's going to change?  Environmental destruction on an unregulated level. Cost of living in the increase, while wages stagnate. More war (just wait until a Trump Tower or hotel gets bombed). Human rights abuses. Shall I continue?

What about the protests? Won't people protest?

Nobody ever decreased the cost of living.

Which humans will be abused and when?

YEEZY JUST ARRIVED AT TRUMP TOWER!!!!!

secretary of mental health sounds nice.

Why are people all incensed over the Russians supposedly trying to influence our election but are not incensed over the DNC and corporate media stealing the nomination from Bernie?

And the CIA talking about influencing elections?  Give me a break.

^    BOOM

They stole it fair and square.

>Why are people all incensed over the Russians supposedly trying to influence our election but are not incensed over the DNC and corporate media stealing the nomination from Bernie?

This is about a months old news!!

Ed did you just wake up from a drug induced coma?

The people i work with now just can't believe who Trump has appointed.  They are truly in shock, and though he was going to be their President.  The sad thing is I get no pleasure in telling them how wrong they were.  Instead I get depressed.  We are so fucked.  Thanks Donald

I wanna know what Ender posted.

I bet it was good and I bet I agreed.

Good to have you back, Negman.

Great point about stealing elections.

Wow Chris that is at least a little bit of good news. Hard to judge how this is going over in my buble.

I've been following this pretty closely and from what I can tell, Russian "hacking" involves promoting "fake news" and getting people to believe it.

Unless I've missed an allegation of actual vote tampering/ flipping, but I really haven't seen that included.

I think if people bought whatever "fake news" was being peddled, that's on us.  It speaks more to a larger problem of the dumbing down of our critical thought and ability to analyze and look at sources.

If there was number shifting during/ post vote, that's an altogether different issue.

Right now though, they are pulling the cart before the horse.

Sorry if I'm suspicious of anonymous sources pushing CIA intel supporting one narrative that could have a potentially world changing outcome.  Seems like we've been here before....

Show us the evidence. I'm not saying it didn't happen or isn't possible.  hell, you know I'm open to a good conspiracy theory, but I want supported facts.

Richie is right.  People are upset about the Russians attempting to rig an election by leaking information on how the DNC was trying to rig an election.   Nothing too shocking and there is little evidence that the leaks actually swayed the electorate, which was more motivated by economic issues and a general distrust of the establishment than the whole Wikileaks thing.  Sucks that Trump got elected, but to blame the Russians is sort of silly.

And yes, there is a bit of irony in that the CIA is the biggest election rigging organization in history.

As for Trump and black people::

Snoop and Trump.jpg

Umm nothing to do with fake news. Everything to do with personal emails that were stolen from the DNC servers and released thourgh wiki leaks

too bad the russians didn't start sooner so we could listen to the clinton camp blame the russians for bernie

just imagine if anthony weiner decided to get freaky with a young girl 3 months earlier!

speaking of which

does Huma still have a job?

One of the reasons our country is fucked is because people can’t make the distinction between a private organization promoting a person they felt best represented them and a foreign government that has thousands of nuclear weapons pointed at us promoting one candidate over another.

well, they are classifying the content of those emails and discussion, inquiry, analysis of them as fake news, so it has everything to do with that term, which is Orwellian Newspeak to dumb down an incredibly complex issue.

The concern about Russia is less about any actual impact from what they did (getting into John Podesta's emails and feeding them to Wikileaks to embarass the Hillary campaign), but the fact that they were trying to tamper in our election at all on behalf of one candidate, who himself encouraged it (http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/trump-putin-no-relationship-226282).

Statements that they "stole" the election are misleading, since as far as we know there was no actual vote tampering, but their involvement for their own ends (Putin's goal is to destabilize the U.S., the EU, and the Western political order generally, and he found a great vehicle in Trump) is what's scary and threatening.

"Fake news" means news stories that are completely fabricated by made-up websites, written generally just to be shared by the gullible on Facebook (and make money from ads). There was a major effort to write those kinds of stories to discredit and harm the Clinton campaign this year.

What's happened in the last few weeks is that now the Trump people are using the term "fake news" to refer to real news stories from real outlets that have unfavorable but real coverage of Trump. Skepticism of the major media from both sides of the political spectrum (Democrats unhappy with unfavorable/unfair portraits of Hillary, Republicans who think the media is just lying to them all the time) has allowed them to get away with this. We shouldn't let them though.

lol...    trump signed that sign

fake news doesn't have to come from fabricated websites.

here's a segment designed to lie.

>> fake news doesn't have to come from fabricated websites. here's a segment designed to lie.

I disagree, I don't think CNN/Cuomo were actually trying to lie there, I think they're just incompetent and didn't know what they were talking about. I don't think they were deliberately trying to feed people incorrect information (like the story discussed here: http://www.snopes.com/fbi-agent-murder-suicide/), so I wouldn't call it fake, just shitty journalism.

That chart needs another column; "primary reason unsuited for job".

That chart makes Scott Pruitt sound fine. Guy has made a career out of suing and trying to shut down the EPA. Terrible.

Isn't there CIA information that RNC was also hacked, but this information was not shared with Wikileaks?

It would be good to know what that information was and why it wasn't shared the way that DNC's was...

The Russkies are saving the RNC stuff for blackmail.

>>> The Russkies are saving the RNC stuff for blackmail.

Bingo. They didn't share it during the campaign because it would've hurt Trump, and they were trying to help him get elected. Now they're most likely sitting on emails from the White House Chief of Staff (who by all accounts was a psychological wreck for most of the campaign), as well as the incoming White House Press Secretary (Sean Spicer, RNC communications head), and they can break them out any time the administration thinks about doing something against Russian interests. It's beyond fucked up.

>The Russkies are saving the RNC stuff for blackmail.

 interesting theory.

you know its gonna come out sooner or later

Brian, add Sessions to your list.  He will be charged with enforcing civil rights laws he is hostile toward. He is against legal immigration.

Bonus, Bentley will likely appoint Luther Strange to replace Beauregard in the Senate...and he is strange indeed.

After the gutting of the Voting Rights Act by the Scalia court nearly 700 polling places closed across the southeast this last election.

Any guess as to who's neighborhoods?

What did they do about that?

I thought there was a politics folder.... just saying

uh oh, it's the folder police

Ok Betty
