The kids will be home from school soon, I have some nice homemade chicken soup and chili for them, and I'm cleaning up around the house.
The sun isn't out, but fuck it, it's gonna be a bright sunshiny day nonetheless.

Today I am finishing up my updated resume as I've been severed from my current employer (with a generous severance) and in search of opportunities. I'd rather be on tour somewhere in a warmer climate.

Snow in the forecast for Saturday, 1-3 inches. Maybe enough to get out and cross country ski? We'll see.............

Is the peak of the meteor shower tonight?
Should be nice and clear here, full moon might make viewing tough. It's tough anyway here cause of light polution, but I always try to get out and gaze the skies when a good meteor event is due.

Two am on east coast is what i heard...yes, full moon makes it tougher to see ....but , it still should be visible and the amount of meteors is what is so special about this one..(from what ive read etc)

Years ago (late 90's?) I was on an Indian Guides (YMCA) camping trip at Camp Tockwah in MD and we set alarms for the middle of the night to hike to a big clearing, no light pollution, and the sky was literally filled with meteors. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
