It's sort like 48th street in Manhattan used to be - this short block has about a dozen killer guitar stores.
This is very close to the British Museum which is an A+ art museum.
Not too far to Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square!
Love this town.
In July Clapton will be doing his farewell show in Hyde Park with Steve Winwood, Carlos Santana and Gary Clark Jr.
The night before will be Roger Waters at O2 Arena.
The following week - Paul Simon winds it up in Hyde Park....
The only problem is - the US Dollar is tanking over there and costs are way up.
neither are very original - dont get me wrong i love sless but i dont go see him for originality i see him because he plays a solid 10/10 drugband guitar.
it'd be nice if herring quit panic and again joined this exclusive club. Casal tries hard but is more like a 6-7/10.
TTB is boring and Trucks doesn't wear a bandana so I'll say Sless. Actually, I think bandanas shouldn't be worn outside of heavy yard work (I see you jambone) but would still take Sless.
His finger picking solos aren’t much to talk about. He just doesn’t the same lick in every solo. Whatever. If you’ve been playing guitar for over 20 yrs it’s not hard to pick up on. Not saying he isn’t talented but just not a very versatile player
Personally, I wouldn’t say Duane was versatile but Duane was also 24 when he passed. He had his moments of greatness and it is to his credit that he was able to accomplish more than most on the guitar with such a short life. I feel like his playing was just really starting to mature. I prefer his slide playing much more than Derek’s. He had more ideas and more licks. More creativeness and improvisation. That’s just my opinion. I don’t look at musicians as gods or anything. My favorite guitarists are the ones who go outside their comfort zones to accomplish different things and try to expand their vocabulary. To me, Derek just packed it in. I like some of his solo stuff. TTB is just a work band though. I mean that’s cool too. Just not really anything new or different.

I’ll take care of it Treble. Regardless, it’s great advice and I would like your thoughts.
I’m gonna go team Sless here. While his tone is pretty much copped from Jerry his playing style is more unique than Dereks

There are fewer good slide players, so DT wins the originality prize.
However, I would MUCH rather listen to Barry.
