You have a point there, although Phil doesn't seem to be the worst "choice" (for a man) if it had to be a talk show host. At least he knows how to let the other person get a word in.
Taking a step back, I think talk show hosts and any other person in position of "fame" (or fortune) ought to be handicapped somehow some way. There needs to be a major paradigm shift, not just a tweak here or there to the existing BS methodology we're currently allowing to steer the ship. Why not try to "blindly pluck qualified individuals from obscurity"? Who would your first choice be?
