What song do you have the most fun at a concert with?

Forums:

It may not your favorite song. It may not be the best played song of the night. It's the one that has you breaking out in grins. I'm curious as to what song makes you shake your ass and contemplate shedding your clothes and boogieing until the sun comes up with.

Oh, Tony, you do have a way with words. I haven't heard that song in a long while, whatever it is.

Warhead Boogie

I even do the "dance move".

Sometimes when I take LSD I hear that song

Bertha & Row Jimmy

I slither (dance) through the amphitheater crowd on the walkway behind or between the seats. I go up stream like a salmon!

US Blues always has me cuttin it up and it's not even a fav lol

House of Bamboo

The 11

China Cat Sunflower

slipknot!

the other one

<<<>>>Sometimes when I take LSD I hear that song

haha, yup.

"this is the way we stand in line, stand in line, stand in line, this is the way we stand in line, for a stinky port'o potty"

there's actually many verses....

Not my favorites but I love a good chuck berry Promised Land or Around and Around, gets me grinning but not really my dance tunes. I hate Johnny b Goode, though

"Girl From Ipanema"

"Tall and tanned and young and lovely,
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes, “Aaah…”
When she walks, she’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gently
That when she passes, each one she passes goes, “Aaah…”
Oh, but he watches so sadly -
How can he tell her he loves her?
Yes, he would give his heart gladly,
But each day when she walks to the sea,
She looks straight ahead – not at he…
Tall and tan and young and lovely,
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, he smiles, but she doesn’t see…

Oh, but he watches her so sadly -
How can he tell her he loves her?
Yes, he would give his heart gladly,
But each day when she walks to the sea,
She looks straight ahead – not at he…
Tall and tanned and young and lovely,
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, he smiles, but she doesn’t see…
She just doesn’t see…
No, she doesn’t see…
But she doesn’t see…
She doesn’t see…
No, she doesn’t see…"

There are two songs that I would say meet the above criteria for me. The first has been covered by a number of artists and each artist has gotten me grooving.

Dave Edmunds - King of Rock

The second is, as some of you might of guessed, by Bruce Springsteen. Besides being a song that gets me moving, it is also one of those songs that always seems to showcase the most goofy tendencies of Springsteen and the members of The E Street Band. Everyone, including the band, cuts loose.

Bruce Springsteen - Ramrod

"Walk Like an Egyptian"

The intro / first third of "Sometimes A River" (SCI) always delivers for me, but have mostly found that songs are often simply "vehicles" or a delivery system of the spirit ... and you can never really tell one way or the other until that moment occurs.

I agree with turtle.  I don't do the mike w dance often but when the 11 pops up it's on, unfortunately I haven't heard it live in a long while.

for a nice big grin, southern cross

El-P - Deep Space 9mm

"sign to rawkus? id rather be mouth-fucked by nazis unconscious"

Silly thread but here's what first popped into my head.  (Danger: Phish content)

Off topic but whenever I hear Over the Hills and Far Away my pace picks way up whatever I am doing.

I am with Treblemaker.  Those opening notes of Chinacat Sunflower just gets my synapses firing on all cylinders, and keeps em firing all the way through I Know You Rider.
