The gorillas do look a little peaked.  They could really use some protein.

Question is - where do they get their munchies?

They got the good gut bacteria.   That shit is breaking down walls!

Cell walls...

How many stomachs do those malnourished looking gorillas have?

Free range vegans

They'll give ya a tour of those 4 stomachs at OSU,  cut open and visible on the hoof.

Good question that highlights the inefficiencies of a animal product based diet.

Here is a chart showing protein calories in vs protein calories out (soybean based feed provides a lot of the protein domestic livestock consume):

They get it from plants. Herbivores. Horses too.

From the alfalfa and soybeans in their feed, and from the insects they eat accidently with their grass.

"However, animals that eat almost exclusively grass, such as cows and horses, have no problem getting enough protein in their diet. Unlike humans, herbivores are capable of digesting plant cells and getting to the nutrients locked inside, like protein."

what about the gorillas thom?

They get proteins from plants that human cannot. I know that’s kind of like a “duh” but it seems sobers at having difficulties understanding in this thread.

It's about amino acids, not protein.
