^That's the one I should be able to attend. (Can't go out tomorrow night, unfortunately, not to mention getting up to Gravenstein Land on a school night)
So much fun last night and feeling grateful that these much-loved musicians keep coming out to play.
Great to feel a bit of that DNB vibe with some regulars in the audience. And it was a very nice surprise to be able to hang out with Moses and Air Drummer!
I'm still sorting through my mind this morning, but some highlights for me during the First Set was the jam out of "Higher Ground", Phil's enthusiasm during "Ramble on Rose", and an incredible "Bird Song"
And, Turtle, they finally played "Friend of the Devil" (with David singing vocals).
Katie was kind enough to sit out much of the second set to allow a "David Nelson and Friends" - style performance. Great fun, with a mighty fine "Any Naked Eye" and other great tunes that we know and love (this is the part where things get blurred for me). Really enjoyed dancing to "Talkin' Back" as well.
Great to hang a bit last night Johnny! I thought it was a very solid show from start to finish. And I too dug the jam in Higher Ground. This was the best I have seen this band. Katie has really developed into a talent. Was good to see David and Phil together for a bit in the first set. And the DNF set was pretty damn awesome.
I was considering just driving home from Fresno, but boy am I glad I decided to swing by TXR instead.
Not terribly well-attended. Nice to be able to move and flail about without trouble, but every once in awhile I'd note that we had 4/5 of DNB on stage, as well as 3/5 of the hallowed Q (I know, the missing parts count!)
And I really appreciate what these three can do together:
"We'll put the band [eg. The Q ] back together, do a few gigs, we get some bread. Bang! Five thousand bucks."
Okay, okay, since particular sun-glasses wearing music duo has claimed that line already how about something like dis;
WARNING: Copious amounts of cash & sold out large venues will result from taking this Caption to heart:bout this:
Caption 2:
"How about the 'Make America Q Again!' for the Tour slogan and then only play GREEN states, and we can have DSO can be the Tour Opener so you can make all the dates!"
Those would be the Red shirts. The Blue shirts at the Custie stand could say "The Q. Cord Changes You Can Believe In"
