Something Trivial you learned on back of album cover

Forums:

One of the best things about vinyl...getting home, unwrapping cellophane, carefully pulling album out and dropping it on turntable...needle starts to crawl into first grooves...

And sit down and start to read....every little detail...(after admiring artwork, of course)

Thats where i learned little tidbits like the producer for most Grand Funk albums was Kram Renraf.

Im not sure how many listens it took to realize that was guitarist marc farner spelled backwards.

Lovin the vinyl resurgance....whatya got?

I still don't know who played violin on half step.is it Cippolina?

This is Paul Leary's dog, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad.

Metallica really hates Laramie, Wyoming.  I lived in that god forsaken shit hole (ironically, the cultural hub of the state) for six years and therefore can completely understand.

From the back of the Kill em All album:

SPECIALLY HUGE AMOUNTS OF HATRED AND CESS RIDDEN FILTH TO THE POOR DOWNTRODEN VICTIMS THAT FOLLOW:
U-Haul; Laramie, Wyoming; . . .

No 2 spot!

I got my first vinyl copy of Terrapin Station from (probably) the Columbia Record Club shortly after it came out in '77. On the inner edge of vinyl , next to the label ,  there are often #'s etched in. That early pressing was inscribed " Where do you  keep your speakers, Jerry ?". I no longer have that copy, and the later pressing I got 10 years later does not have that ...

My Blues for Allah album was an import from Italy

Great album, slack....the paul leary...not the b.s. one you show every other tuesday....(just imo, of course)

I have a cassette of Live/Dead manufactured in Saudi Arabia or UAE, one of  those. They cover the naked boobies, "St. Stephen" is now "Stephen". There's a couple other oddities.

TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME.

Trivial or necessity...LOL!

Not on the album back, but on the insert to Kantner/Slick's "Sunfighter":

As an emerging jr. high hep cat I picked up many people to check out from the 'thank you's' on Buffalo Springfield Again.

I learned that the judges disqualified little Milton (in a last minute rumpus).

UGLY RUMORS

American Beauty or is it American Reality....front of album but wtf, ugly rumors is probably the craziest, upside down in a mirror....

I got curious so here it is.  Spring of ninth grade, the first record I bought from the list was Fred Neil, writer of Other Side of This Life and Everybody's Talkin'.  Hell of a folkie.

Also, the bluebird inlay on my SG was inspired by the bluebird on the front cover
