Republicans Block Anti-Putin Resolutions Before Senate Approves One Rebuke
WASHINGTON — Republicans in Congress on Thursday blocked a series of measures put forward by lawmakers — largely Democratic — desperate to isolate Republican leaders and publicly rebuke President Trump over his summit meeting with President Vladimir V. Putinof Russia this week.
In the Senate, Republicans objected to two nonbinding measures that would have put the body on record as being in support of intelligence agency conclusions that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, called on Mr. Trump to fully impose sanctions against Russia and pressed for oversight of the summit meeting, including the production of any notes taken by Americans.
“If ever there was a moment to think not of just your party but for the country, this is it,” Senator Jeff Flake, Republican of Arizona, implored his colleagues before his bipartisan resolution was shot down.
GOP Acknowledges Russian Election Interference but Won't Fund Election Security
After a heated week of insisting that Russia meddled in the 2016 election, the House passed a spending bill excluding funding for election security grants.
According to The Washington Post, the issue revolved around continued grant funding through the Election Assistance Commission, which Republicans want to stop because they believe it's fully funded.
Democrats think otherwise and want to continue funding through 2019. They seem to be particularly concerned since Russia's goal in interfering with the 2016 election was to elect Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.
“The American people should be very worried about the commitment of this president and his Republican allies in Congress to securing our elections,” Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-R.I.) said on the House floor on Wednesday. “This is a party that has worked with this administration to undermine and minimize the investigation surrounding Russian interference in our presidential election.”
It’s amazing, I never picked up on the fact that Evangelicals and Right-Wing white-power groups LOVE Russia and Putin and have for years! I always thought it was Country First, but now I’m realizing that a significant portion of our population is actually Jesus first and White People first so much so that they fell In Love with Vlad while Obama ran the shop here.
Pretty fucking amazing.
Here’s part of an announcement/love letter that the Southern, Republican group “League Of The South” wrote when they announced they were starting a Russian language website for all of their Russian friends in their fight against America:
”We understand that the Russian people and Southerners are natural allies in blood, culture, and religion. As fellow Whites of northern European extraction, we come from the same general gene pool. As inheritors of the European cultural tradition, we share similar values, customs, and ways of life. And as Christians, we worship the same Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our common faith binds us as brothers and sisters.
We Southerners believe in societies based on real, organic factors such as shared blood, culture, and religion, and all that stems naturally from these salient factors in the human experience. As fellow White Christians who are grounded in the sublime traditions of our common European cultural heritage, we believe that the Russian people and the Southern people are natural allies against the destructive and impersonal impulses of globalism.”
Notes: Right Wing Watch keeps track of a variety of organizations, but the groups they track do tend to be conservative extremists in one regard or another. All reporting is one sided favoring the left, while attempting to report the right negatively. Right Wing Watch does occasionally take statements out of context and they sometimes source to far left sources. Overall, this is a left biased website that is mixed for factual reporting.
Perhaps instead of spending your time chasing down the veracity of my news source, you could have checked out the actual league of the south website to see if it’s true, which it is.
Your effort to obscure this fact in an underhanded effort has been noted and is not appreciated.
Real news sources aren't biased completely to one side. If that's what's you read and source from, you can't help but be biased.
League of South has only 9000 members and is only important as a "news story" if you are trying to make an inflammatory, partisan point. It's says nothing about Trump voters or the South in general.
In a 2007 opinion piece, progressive watchdog group Media Matters for America accused Politico of having a "Republican tilt".[62] In contrast, in 2011 politically conservative The Daily Caller declaimed Politico as having a pronounced liberal bias.[63] A 2012 study found that the percentage of Politico readers that identify as Democrats—29%—is the same percentage that identifies as Republicans.
I realize I'm in the extreme minority here, I'm just trying to cautiously engage, I believe that you believe that Russia is the reason people walked into voting booths and voted Trump instead of Clinton, I am attempting to respectfully disagree, [humorous graphic aside...attempt at levity] I believe people rejected Hillary because she was a terribly flawed human being, I find it difficult to believe she was anyone's first choice on this message board. As I've said before on other threads I think the world of you guys...I'd enjoy having a beer together and discussing politics, I realize this has taken on a polarized dynamic, I'm just making the point that all is not as it appears & beware the spoon fed narrative, Hillary lost because she's such a terrible person...my personal theory is she lost because the anti war vote realized she represented war in perpetuity, I'd love to hear someone's opinion on that in particular.
>I believe that you believe that Russia is the reason people walked into voting booths and voted Trump instead of Clinton<
You are incorrect. I have no idea how it affected the view of the general public . And it is irrelevant as it pertains to the existence of a criminal conspiracy.
Bryen I had multiple republican friends in the days leading up to 2016 election say did you see that thing on facebook about Hillary Clinton. Russian proaganda hello!
Facebook's Zuckerberg congratulated Trump after 2016 election: report
...While many CEOs, including IBM’s Ginni Rometty, publicly congratulated Trump after his Election Day victory, few of them provided services that played such a pivotal role in Trump’s campaign operations.
Facebook also considered the campaign an "innovator" when it came to marketing on its platform, according to internal documents obtained by BuzzFeed News...
...Facebook's role in the 2016 election continues to be a topic of debate. The company has faced criticism for how its platform was manipulated by Russian trolls seeking to interfere in U.S. politics, and for its lax policies that allowed Cambridge Analytica, a British research firm used by the Trump campaign, to improperly harvest data on 87 million Facebook users...
>>>>people rejected Hillary because she was a terribly flawed human being
REALLY????
Compared to Donald Trump, informed people decided to choose HIM over her because SHE WAS a “terribly flawed human being”.
Did these people think that the multi-divorced, casino-owning, multiple bankruptcies, racist liar was the GODDAMNED DALI LAMA????
Thats a load of shit buddy, and that’s my opinion on that in particular.
If people voted for Trump over Clinton because they believe that he is a more morally sound individual, then those people are uninformed assholes.
And people here don’t give a shit about a fucking war in Afghanistan unless their loved ones are the poor souls fighting over there so you can forget that weak argument as well.
Trump is what he calls everyone else, a fucking Loser who gives a shit about himself and thinks he’s the Boss and everyone should bow to him instead of serving the citizens of our country.
It's hardly irrelevant, it's the basis of the entire theory as why Hillary lost, to deny that is extraordinary. Again, complete respect, much love, let me buy a round of beers, appreciate the discussion, thanks!
"And people here don’t give a shit about a fucking war in Afghanistan unless their loved ones are the poor souls fighting over there so you can forget that weak argument as well."
>> And people here don’t give a shit about a fucking war in Afghanistan unless their loved ones are the poor souls fighting over there so you can forget that weak argument as well.
The reason why Hillary lost(taking the election at complete face value)
-- I didn't vote for Hillary because she's deeply flawed, it's her coronation, she ran the worst campaign in history, my vote doesn't matter, we need a change, she's a neo con
-- I voted for Trump cause fuck that bitch!!!!
-- The chorus of both -- 'the emails, pizzagate, Bill & Epstein....'
You all suck... And I congratulate all of you for fucking this country! Great job!
>It's hardly irrelevant, it's the basis of the entire theory as why Hillary lost, to deny that is extraordinary<
For some it may be the basis to explain Clinton's loss, but it is completely irrelevant when determining if a crime was committed. To insist the contrary indicates an ignorance of the law, or it is a desire to deflect from the multiple indictments and guilty pleas Mueller has filed.
Hey Let me ask you guys who think that Hillary and wars and the continuation of such wars were a big reason people voted for Trump, what specifically would lead you to believe that Trump would end all wars that we are in and not start any others?
"Hey Let me ask you guys who think that Hillary and wars and the continuation of such wars were a big reason people voted for Trump, what specifically would lead you to believe that Trump would end all wars that we are in and not start any others?"
Comparatively speaking, yes, Trump is much less likely to engage in foreign entanglements than Hillary, I believe enough people recognized that to tilt a close election from one side to another, the anti war vote is not the biggest single issue voting block, but it's significant enough to decide an election...no one can deny Hillary made the calculation to position herself as a neoconservative in regards to foreign policy, I think history will show that to be a mistake on her part, mistake may be the wrong word, you're either a war monger or you're not, she certainly wore that moniker as a badge of honor, it became her identity and in my opinion lost the election.
HRC problems were taking banking cash & Clinton foundation cash donations. She also openly kissed up to military Industrial complex as a senator so as to win over GOP war hawks for a presidential run in future.
Enough of the whataboutism Brye Yr Thom (sorry Byren just having some fun appreciate the civll discourse)
I don't think it's "whataboutism" when the discussion is did or did not Russia impact the 2016 election, I believe people declined to vote for Hillary because they saw her for what she was, war in perpetuity.
Oh so it’s based on the words that come out of his mouth, that’s what I thought. It’s not based on any of his previous actions because obviously he’s new at all of this. You trust him.
feel free to discuss your points regarding the indictments, are any of them in regards to the the Trump Campaign coordinating with Russian operatives? I think everyone has conceded their attempts to meddle in the election, what's the point you're making in regards to the indictments. And again, I appreciate the discussion, thanks!
All over really, I don't get out much, but I've snowboarded Wisconsin, it was more of a valley than a mountain, attended a football game at Camp Randall, been to a bunch of concerts in East Troy...one of my favorite Wisconsin stories was playing the golf course at Alpine Valley behind the stage the day before the "Family Reunion" shows, so me and my buddy are playing golf during an extended sound check, the sound of Phil's bass was bouncing off the hillsides for most of the afternoon, good times! Really think the world of you guys, wish we could have this discussion over beers, I certainly respect your opinion & views, thanks!
Hillary was a flawed candidate, between 25+ years of conservatives demonizing her (some legit, some BS), and her pro corporate, pro fracking, pro wallstreet history (no bueno for liberals), it was really always about the populists (Bernie and Trump). The news agencies gave Trump literal 24 / 7 news coverage (worth hundreds of millions $), everyone was fascinated with what he'd say next. Hillary, very little coverage, Bernie (nada), the other twisted Refuckthecountrycan'ts (nada coverage), the media was addicted to the Donald. (If it bleeds, it leads)
When wikileaks broke, it looked like the corrupt RNC was joined by the corrupt DNC. No way Bernie was going to get DNC support, and there are a lot of innuendoes (as there is with Russian collusion) suggesting unethical behavior (and possibly illegal) by the DNC. Fast forward to today, and there's even more evidence on the mutual corruption.
What's different, is Trump had collusion with Israel, likely Turkey, and of course everyone talks about Russia (but there was a lot more going on that just Russia). Hillary and the DNC didn't get it. Many feel that Bernie should have been the candidate. So it's possible to be anti-trump and anti hillary even though one identifies as being liberal.
One almost comical aside; on Facebook, i've got hundreds of very liberal musician / artist friends, and hundreds of very conservative mining friends, and it's fascinating to watch the two sides do their thing. But i've never seen both sides so united in their hatred of Hillary. Amazing how many shared the same memes, jokes, unflattering pictures, etc... never thought she could unite the extreme sides of both factions (even if it was against her).
There were millions of pro-trump, and pro-bernie memes out there... a simple google / bing search revealed piles... but there were literally NO pro-Hillary memes. Found that to be really strange (as someone who's well known for posting memes, this really was strange!!!). There's several odd examples where memes are readily available, and not. The Bundy's take over that Oregon "rest area" (LOL), and there were a bazillion meme's instantly out, almost like they were at the ready when the news broke. When that bird landed on Bernies Lectern, piles of memes came out instantly. Nothing Hillary did generated any kind of buzz for the social medias, while the opposition was loaded with them (from both populist camps).
Either way, that demonization likely kept people from going to the polls. Low voter turnouts was the biggest killer of her campaign. Now as to what Jill Stein (Green) was doing in Russia before hand, i'd like to know. I don't think Gary Johnson (libertarian) made much of an impact. The mass media (all forms) gave Trump a free ride, and Hillary a free deride. Bernie was suppressed by both camps.
I think folks focus too much on the "black" / "women" side of things. While there is many truths in some stereotypes ( likes supporting likes ), most of the vitriol I saw on Facebook was more policy based, or personality based, rather than typical bigotry based (some exceptions). Most of the hatred I see between camps is based on policy, or misinformation on how the other is perceived, but nothing new there...
Personally, i'd love to see the RNC and DNC brought down... but it looks more likely the entire Trump administration is guilty of high treason, and should be (forceably) removed from office. (which the constitution supports in cases of treason). But the the republicans in the house and senate refusing to budge, how does checks and balances work to remove this filth when the party in charge would throw democracy into the grave purely for the sake of winning / maintaining power?
In conclusion, FUCK the Republicans, and shame on you DNC...
Bernie Sanders & Elizabeth Warren wing dem fan. They go 3rd party so do I. 3rd party needed to call BS on partisan cold war. Break the "for or against" dichotomy being employed for political self enrichment.
Bucky...didn't mean to upset you, I made mention of the ski resort in Wisconsin being a valley instead of a mountain not to disparage Wisconsin, I LOVE Wisconsin, it really was a valley, I'd never seen that before, but you snowboarded down into the valley and then rode the lift back up, I just mentioned that because it was unique. I've also been to the Madison farmer's market, unbelievable...one of the great towns in America!
Druba...nicely done with the links this past tour, it was appreciated!
From a sociological perspective, it's fascinating, it seems as if sooner rather than later this matter is going to break one way or the other, either the Trump campaign conspired with Russian operatives to gain an unfair advantage over Hillary Clinton or this will be revealed to be the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people. Kids will read about this in school a hundred years from now. My guess, and it's mostly based on intuition, is the latter, when that is revealed it will certainly be an interesting moment in history. It seems everyone is "all in", eventually the cards will be on the table.
I think this is reaching such a crescendo as far as our society is concerned, we should know soon one way or the other...this darkness has got to give. If it turns out Trump collided with Russian operatives and conspired to gain an unfair advantage and steal the presidency the very first thing I'm doing is typing the words "I was mistaken" on this message board. Maybe I am mistaken, I'm often correct but I'm not always correct, no one can say one way or another, we're all just speculating.
The republic will survive, I'd say by late September we ought to have some definitive answer, as a collective society we're starting to enter a sort of "Alice in Wonderland" state of surrealism, it feels like it's reaching a critical mass.
I hope everyone has a good weekend, I appreciate the back & forth...Bucky, I'm sorry you're upset, I think a lot of you & Badger Nation, have a great evening!
Seems like one party supports facts, like sciency shit and stuff, like getting experts together and throwing it all out on the table, try and devise something resembling intelligent... the other is more about their God, and their tribe can do whatever the fuck it wants, with no costs or consequences, while they want to destroy, kill, slaughter those damn snowflake libtards on the other side (I blame that Newt Gingrich guy). Pretty consistent observation of mine. Lots of fun insults to go around, but when it comes to substance, there's a pretty huge gap between parties. It's no longer big biz vs the serfdom... now both sides have their oligarchs. (Support the Koch bros pipeline, or Warren Buffett moving that oil by train).
(Had a family member work at the white house for 20 years, and the way the two parties operate couldn't be more different!)
Bryen, you mocked Russian collusion, you inferred that the Russian aggression did not sway voters, and others throw out the improbable extradition of Russian nationals charged. These are nothing but red herrings ment to discredit, distract, and undermine an investigation that has charged thirty-one people, three companies, and have had five people plead guilty, who are now cooperating with investigators. Plus, the investigation has uncovered evidence which led to investigation of Michael Cohen. And then there's the Butina investigation. Evidence of Trump/Russia collusion has not yet been seen, but this latest round of indictments are getting closer(things are getting hot for Stone)
So my point is, that regardless of any measurable affect on the voters, crimes were committed. This investigation must be allowed to continue and the President needs to be held accountable for his obstruction.
None of us know what went down and may continue to be going down.
I'm an unaffiliated voter who has voted my conscience for better or worse (e.g. G.W. Bush) for 37 years. Bounced between "center left" and "center right" over those years. Socially liberal with a fiscal conservatism.
If we are indeed a nation guided by the rule of law and where people are presumed innocent until proven guilty, then by that definition, Trump, his administration, his family, his campaign and the GOP at large, are to be presumed innocent until proven otherwise. That said, the rule of law must be allowed to run its course and that means the investigation must be allowed to be conducted unencumbered and if guilt is proven, those guilty must be held to account.
Right now, the Mueller team, compared to virtually any and all other investigations in years past or those others (Congressional) associated with this episode, has appeared to conduct itself at the highest level of professionalism (tons of "no comments", no press conferences on big marble steps ala Ken Starr back in the day, etc.). While the Trump side has clearly taken the opposite approach throughout with individual lawyers - hired or not hired, associates, family members, administration officials, GOP party & Congressional members and Trump himself, all doing a huge amount of talking and spinning.
Circumstantially, there certainly seems to be a shit ton of evidence that something went down (e.g. huge number of meetings, wild and growing web of contacts, etc.). When you factor in the approach by the GOP et al (first deny, then reluctantly acknowledge, but to only that one, then deny others, then reluctantly acknowledge, but only that one....rinse and repeat scores of times) and the large scale talking and spinning which, to me, really simply keeps giving the fire oxygen, it's getting harder and harder to think that there's "nothing there". Of course, one must also factor in that Trump's well established ethical and moral bankruptcy doesn't do him any favors either. These activities are not hearsay. They are incontrovertible facts which can be proven with a few clicks to Trumps own personal tweets and scores of available audio and video recordings. However, until connected and proven on a criminal scale, they are indeed, circumstantial.
Personally, I was not a Hillary fan for a host of reasons, but compared to Trump, she was the lesser of two evils. I live in NY state and have watched Trump for decades, well before he became a reality TV personality. From watching him blow up the USFL to listening to him debase women including his own daughter on the Howard Stern show, the fact that our nation elected him to the highest office in the land is a concept that I will never get over. Watching 30 some odd percent of the nation fall in behind him as his behavior on the national and world stages debase our standing and everything we at least used to stand for continues to amaze and sadden me. In this particular topic of innocence or guilt, I can't help but think that they doth protest too much. Imagine, if you will, what if Trump et al simply came clean right out of the gate with a list of all of the "meetings" or if they chose to have one simple message "we acknowledge that the Russians attempted to interfere, we will be immediately instituting sanctions against them to hold them accountable and we will be taking the following measures to ensure that they or any other nation will not be able to meddle in the future and we, in full support of the investigation will cooperate, not engage in public comments and look forward to the Special Counsels report"? That response, to me, is what I would want my nations leadership to follow.
"Bryen, you mocked Russian collusion, you inferred that the Russian aggression did not sway voters, and others throw out the improbable extradition of Russian nationals charged. Good morning, one thing I'm learning here is the notion that it's not about whether or not the election was impacted, but rather if or if not violations occurred...that's more or less the discussion point, correct? If so, that's interesting, at that point what the thought process is in theory is to protect democracy, we're going to unseat a duly elected president, not because the election was impacted one way or another, but a violation may have occurred, is that pretty much the argument?
Also, I'm certainly not meaning to troll Bucky, I've tried to overly polite, maybe that's trolling, if so I'll curtail my niceties...like I said before, I'm just trying to cautiously engage here realizing I'm in the extreme minority, my intent is to possibly learn a thing or two about the dynamic of the discussion points, my gut feeling is this will break one way or another very soon, until then let the speculation & debate continue, it is certainly fascinating...and again, all the very best to everyone here, thanks!
> If so, that's interesting, at that point what the thought process is in theory is to protect democracy, we're going to unseat a duly elected president, not because the election was impacted one way or another, but a violation may have occurred, is that pretty much the argument<
The violations are crimes. If the president violated the law through a conspiracy with Russian nationals, or by obstructing the investigation, he should absolutely face impeachment. The president is not above the law.

So from now on should all presidential election results go to a "pending legal review" stage to investigate possible legal infractions? What if Hillary had won? Would a review of legal improprieties by either her or her campaign, whether or not they had anything to do with the outcome of the election, subject her to removal from office? I suppose your answer would be yes, I get it...what I sense is happening, and maybe I'm mistaken, is this is seemingly taking on an "ends justifies the means" feel to it, a "by any means necessary" approach to "save democracy", when ironically it's doing the exact opposite.
David Axelrod, noted Dem, has been pushing back against rushing to impeachment for the reason you just noted.
That said, IF illegalities are proven, then we must hold any and all accountable.
With regards to your Hillary comment. First and foremost, the notion of rule of law and accountability should not be a partisan question. If Hillary had won and what has played out in the Trump admin (secret meetings, denial of meetings, etc, etc, etc.) then absolutely it would warrant a Special Counsel investigation. I would take a minute to add here that there is video footage of Trump during a debate televised around the world accusing Hillary of "rigging" the election and refusing to say whether he would "accept" the results.
>>> So from now on should all presidential election results go to a "pending legal review" stage to investigate possible legal infractions? What if Hillary had won? Nice deflection Mr. Word Salad.
Here's what we know...
Russia STOLE American documents through a cyber “break in”, these stolen documents were then funneled to the Trump campaign via Wikileaks.
They accepted and used these (knowingly stolen) documents to help the campaign.
As the investigation becomes more public, we are learning how dates are lining up to what the GRU did and the actions the Trump campaign took in response.
- Two weeks before his inauguration, Donald J. Trump was shown highly classified intelligence indicating that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia had personally ordered complex cyberattacks to sway the 2016 American election.
- The evidence included texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to Mr. Putin, who had described to the C.I.A. how the Kremlin decided to execute its campaign of hacking and disinformation.
- Intelligence chiefs reportedly told the Republican president-elect, among other things, about the evidence pointing to Vladimir Putin's direct role in Russia's election interference. Their presentation, according to the Times, included a reference to a highly-sensitive piece of information: the United States had learned from human sources about Putin's role, suggesting American intelligence had come directly from someone close to the Russian president.
Bryen -
What do you have to say about this^^^?
Because this means Trump knew and is a willing participant STILL to this day.
Bryen, if Clinton would have won, the Republicans would have continued their 25 year investigation.
> I get it...what I sense is happening, and maybe I'm mistaken, is this is seemingly taking on an "ends justifies the means" feel to it, a "by any means necessary" approach to "save democracy", when ironically it's doing the exact opposite.<
You are mistaken. The investigation began because of credible intelligence about the Russian operation. And it began before Trump won. Your premise is ridiculous and is an attempt to distort the argument.
1) Hours before he was set to sit down with Putin in Helsinki, Trump tweeted this out: "Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!" The US President blaming a special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election -- an investigation run by his own Justice Department! -- for the lack of good relations. Staggering.
2) Following a two-plus-hour one-on-one meeting with Putin -- Trump pushed for that format -- the two men held a joint news conference. In that presser, Trump repeatedly makes clear that both sides are to blame for the Russian interference in the 2016 election -- even as he continued to cast doubt on whether the Russians meddled at all. "I hold both countries responsible," Trump said in response to a question from the American press about Russia's interference. "I think that the United States has been foolish. We've all been foolish. We're all to blame."
3) In the same news conference, Trump said that he didn't "see any reason why it would be" Russia who meddled in the election. The following day, Trump tried to correct the record; "In a key sentence in my remarks I said the word 'would' instead of 'wouldn't,'" he explained.
4) Then, on Wednesday, Trump was asked whether he believed Russia was still targeting US elections. "No," he responded. But, apparently that "no" was in response to taking questions from reporters, according to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders. Of course, Trump went on to take more questions, so...
5) On Thursday, word breaks -- on Twitter natch -- that Trump has invited Putin to Washington for a second summit this fall. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, on stage at the Aspen Security Conference, is clearly stunned by the news of a second summit -- and acknowledges that he still doesn't even know what happened in the first summit.
None of that is definitive proof of anything. What it does make clear, however, is that dismissing the idea that there is something more nefarious going on here is now willfully blinding oneself to facts. It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist or even an amateur sleuth to see a very, very odd pattern of behavior here. And one that has very little political upside for Trump. His party universally opposes his soft stance to Russia and Putin. Polling suggests a majority of Americans do not believe that Trump performed well in Russia.
So why does he just keep doing and saying things that make Russia smile and America grimace? You can no longer dismiss any explanation. Not after this week.
>>> So why does he just keep doing and saying things that make Russia smile and America grimace? You can no longer dismiss any explanation. Not after this week.
If kompromat ("compromising material") isn’t a pee tape or the years of mob money laundering but as simple as...
Trump knows that Putin swung the election for him to win.
Now knowing that Trump was informed, with evidence, by the Intelligence Community on 1.6.17 but he continues to lie about it every day.
It's an attempt to cover up for what Putin has on him, his Electoral College win.
Some of you seem to think the Russian attacks couldnt change the outcome of the 2016 election. To believe that, you would have to believe their massive campaign couldnt influence less than half a percent of the electorate. Thinking what they did brought an extra 110,000 to the polls isnt unreasonable at all. Although that may be one of the more insidious reasons were saddled with Trump, being bound to an anachronism is pretty bad as well, not to mention the completely incompetent campaign Clinton ran.

Good afternoon, unconditional love for the group, I'm not just saying that, I really do love you guys, having probably never met most of you, I hope I've been respectful...I realize this is a minority opinion, it's my hope that through dialogue we can gain a better understanding of the discussion points...
"credible intelligence"
^ "therein lies the dilemma", and I believe we're making progress, would there not be an inherent conflict of interest if said "intelligence" had a dog in the fight? Like war in perpetuity?
long time fan of Nancy in the Sky, one of the "greats" of the zone to be sure...big fan :)
Am I to believe everyone here believes in Hillary's foreign police? Would Marley? Garcia? You'd argue that matters not, but isn't that the alpha & omega of a presidency?
One of the theories of human existence is the Gaia Theory, which is basically the planet Earth responds from the perspective of self preservation to various threats, some people, at least one person believes that Hoffman's discovery was a manifestation of the Gaia Theory...at the exact same moment in the timeline of humanity that we stumbled upon our own nuclear annihilation.
You could subscribe to the notion that there's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be and we're all on this message board in July for a reason, if so, maybe collectively we can bring about a better understanding of the debate.
...the point I was making escaped me momentarily, but that maybe the Gaia principle took over on Election Day on an unexplainable subconscious level with voters "realizing" that Hillary would bring about WWIII?
I'd appreciate a legitimate response to that question, thanks!
Sane people don't start nuclear wars. Whatever you think about Clinton's ethics, she's not insane, not stupid, not incompetent.
Trump is incompetent, stupid, evil, and insane. I'm much more worried that Donnie will get us into a nuclear war because he has no idea of how international diplomacy is carried out, nor does he care.
But not to worry; now that Putin is our lord and master I guess we can assume at least he won't attack us.
My friend Lee has fallen in with this orange mania. He's insane. He truly believes that all liberals think like so-called SJWs. And that's just the beginning. It's maddening.
> "therein lies the dilemma", and I believe we're making progress, would there not be an inherent conflict of interest if said "intelligence" had a dog in the fight?<
You're right, they have a dog in the fight. They are attempting to protect the US from a foreign attack, and to determine if any US citizens cooperated with the foreign attackers.
Tucker would be proud, you keep plugging the deep state nonsense.
"You're right, they have a dog in the fight. They are attempting to protect the US from a foreign attack, and to determine if any US citizens cooperated with the foreign attackers."
Bryen, posting links to other politicians, or talking about other candidates, will never make the guy you are defending’s actions any more defensible. That’s just goofy.
It’s clear that you and Thom ( and others? ) deflect because there’s nothing you can say that can make your guy a decent human being - I think you understand there's no glimmer of hope of that.
It also seems odd that you have said numerous times that you love all of us. Bah.
I do have unconditional love in my heart for all of you, if that were not the case I wouldn't say so, but it is in fact the truth, if I am repetitive then please forgive me. My point with the references to Hillary [and that last video really does perfectly summarize what I believe she represents, which is an unapologetic neoconservative bent for perpetual war] is that you can't have the never ending [what is it now 17 months?] Russia discussion in a vacuum, Hillary lost because she was a war monger of the highest order, it was her identity and she wore it like a badge of honor.
I get that's not the popular notion, but it's the truth, people are quick to forget that in the mad dash to vilify all things Trump. One of the reasons it fascinates me with this particular scene is I always thought as a community we were the embodiment of the anti war movement, yet it seems as if everyone here wishes Hillary would have somehow been handed the presidency by any means necessary...that seems odd to me.
I feel like I've been pretty respectful, I certainly respect the venue, if there's room for a dissenting opinion I'll go ahead and grab the spot, oh by the way, I'm pretty sure I'll be proven correct, we'll see, love and respect to all, I'm not just typing those words, that's how I really feel, for what it may be worth.
>fascinates me with this particular scene is I always thought as a community we were the embodiment of the anti war movement, yet it seems as if everyone here wishes Hillary would have somehow been handed the presidency by any means necessary...that seems odd to me.<
There you go again misrepresenting the argument. Clinton's vices/virtues are not the issue.
The issue is the criminal conspiracy between Russian forces and members of the trump campaign/GOP.
Do you think you can address the issue without bringing up Clinton or the idiotic deep state nonsense?
"Do you think you can address the issue without bringing up Clinton or the idiotic deep state nonsense?"
I'll give it a shot, then I have to go to sleep...I think the point being made here is that it doesn't matter if the election was impacted one way or the other, what matters is that according to the intelligence community, without a doubt, there is 100% matter of fact proof* that Russia hacked Podesta's emails and exposed the DNC, and that someday soon it may very well be established that an associate of Donald Trump was somehow involved, if so, that would trigger the process of unseating a duly elected president...is that correct?
* so far that's been Rosenstein's account at the podium a few days ago based on somewhat debatable evidence, I think there are people actually debating it, so by definition it's debatable [staying within the requested boundaries here I hope you'll agree, making a good faith effort]
the point being made here is that it doesn't matter if the election was impacted one way or the other, what matters is that according to the intelligence community, without a doubt, there is 100% matter of fact proof* that Russia hacked Podesta's emails and exposed the DNC, and that someday soon it may very well be established that an associate of Donald Trump was somehow involved, (Roger Stone is involved) if so, that would trigger the process of impeaching a criminally complicit president.
I fixed that for you, Bryen.
And don't forget about obstruction of justice.
Regardless of what you think of Clinton, obstruction of justice is also a crime .
Cool, thanks nor'easter, I appreciate that! I suppose we'll find out soon enough, in all sincerity, I have a better sense of the debate than a couple days ago, so there's that...we live in interesting times. Again, thanks!
Dec 29, 2017 - But in his first year, he expanded every war he inherited. ... President Trump has maintained or expanded the wars that he inherited from his ...
Good morning, I've been thinking about what seems like 2 rules implemented here...don't bring up Hillary, the Trump/Russia discussion has nothing to do with why Hillary lost...ok, I guess I can somewhat understand that, seems a bit convenient, but ok, fair enough. The second "rule" seems to be "idiotic deep state nonsense" is off limits as well, on that front, we are to believe the intelligence community is/was a level playing field, that's a bit of a stretch, I think if anyone really had an honest assessment of that particular issue they would acknowledge the deck certainly seems stacked.
I'm going to leave it there for a while, I've enjoyed the discussion, if you're able to catch any of the Open, it's on NBC, if Tiger starts making putts it could be one of the all-time moments in sports, I hope you guys have a wonderful day!
The extreme hubris of the DNCs policy of "elevating pied piper candidates", specifically naming Donald Trump. They literally assisted, as a matter of strategy, in creating this monster.
Also, not visiting the key states she lost might have had something to do with it.
Bryen, the warrant was renewed 3 times. This means that the investigation had to show it was yielding results.
And the Steele dossier info was just part of the 400+pages of material submitted to the fisa court. And the court was informed that the dossier was opposition research.
It's not even good cherry picking because the investigation began because Papadopoulos ...
The dossier was used, to some extent, to persuade a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court to authorize surveillance of Page. But it was the actions of another Trump campaign adviser — George Papadopoulos — that actually started the investigation.
Trump adviser George Papadopoulos triggered investigation
The federal government started looking into Russian election involvement in July 2016 based on information from Papadopoulos. This was confirmed by Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee.
"The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Pete Strzok," the House Intelligence Committee’s GOP members wrote in a Feb. 2 memo.
House Intelligence Committee Republicans confirmed in an April report it was Papadopoulos who set the FBI investigation in motion.
So, what was the "Papadopoulos information"?
According to the New York Times, Papadopoulos told a high-ranking Australian diplomat at an upscale London bar in May 2016 that Moscow had "political dirt" on Hillary Clinton. Australian officials relayed this information to their American counterparts.
Mueller appointed later
Trump also confused the timeline of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s involvement.
The Papadopoulos discussion of Clinton dirt that triggered the investigation took place in May 2016. Yet an entire year would pass before Mueller entered the picture.
The Justice Department did not appoint Mueller to take over the FBI investigation until May 2017, roughly a week after Trump fired FBI director James Comey.
Downer is the former Australian foreign minister who helped secure a 25 million donation from the Australian Government to the Clinton foundation in order to help fight AIDS in China, Viet nam and Papua New Guinea.
"The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Pete Strzok,"
Pete Strzok...where have I heard that name before? Oh that's right, he was in charge of the IC creating a level playing field, making sure everything was on the up & up....suggesting otherwise would be "idiotic deep state nonsense".
Bryan, Strozk was the chief of counterespionage section, it was part of his job.
And Papadopoulos is a cooperating witness, so I'm sure you'll get your answers about his meeting in london.
And yes, it is idiotic deep state nonsense.
If that stuff gives you pause, the multiple lies about Russian contacts told by trump and his associates must really raise your suspicion. I mean, your deep state conspiracy lacks any sort if concrete poof. There is no denying that Manafort, Kushner, Sessions, trump jr, prince, stone, etc gad contacts with Russian and then lied about it. I believe that the number of trump associates who meet with Russians is up to 26? Maybe you could do a bit oc research and confirm that for me.
Good morning Nor'easter, I see your argument's been reduced to name calling...nice, classy.
What Trump is referring to is the media's complicity in what amounts to a soft Coup D'état. You seem like a pretty intelligent guy, I'm surprised you haven't at least begun to recognize what's happening here. One of us is correct and one of us is not, we'll find out sooner rather than later...I believe that you believe you're correct, and I certainly don't question your love of country, have a nice day!
We shall see, in the meantime, take deep breaths & enjoy this great country, this is certainly reaching a crescendo...I understand how people become absolutely certain they're correct watching some of this coverage, it's cool, I get it, you believe it, that's a somewhat logical outcome for a lot of really good people, some of my closest friends are right there with you, I'm sure you're a good guy and a good American. I happen to believe I'm correct, there are very good people who agree with me, we are about to find out, and oh by the way...the republic will survive. Enjoy the day, it is a gift, we're all lucky to be here!
When you get smoking gun evidence, please share it with the group, that would be newsworthy.
"“I have not seen one scintilla of evidence that this president colluded, conspired, confederated with Russia, and neither has anyone else, or you may rest assured Adam Schiff would have leaked it,” -Trey Gowdy, 7.22.2018

Donald Trump will be president thanks to 80,000 people in three states.
The most important states, though, were Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump won those states by 0.2, 0.7 and 0.8 percentage points, respectively — and by 10,704, 46,765 and 22,177 votes.
Those three wins gave him 46 electoral votes; if Clinton had done one point better in each state, she'd have won the electoral vote, too.
As a mental exercise, honestly ask yourself, if there was a way to remove Donald Trump from the presidency on completely false premise, that was absolutely wrong & corrupt, but Trump would be out, would you support that? I know and you know the answer for most of you here would be yes...that is exactly what is wrong with this, this is the biggest scam ever engineered in the 242 years of the republic, the goal is not to "protect democracy", it's the exact opposite, the goal is to bring about a soft coup d'état, which is exactly what this is, you know it, I know it, the world knows it, the point I'm making is if you ask yourself "Am I completely ok with that, as long as Trump is removed?" and the answer is yes, [which by the way it is], then you'll perhaps gain some insight to the paradox, history will paint this effort in a very dim light.
You did not respond to either of my previous posts. Maybe 3rd time's a charm.
Ask yourself and please provide answer to the group.......given the voluminous amount of what, at least as of right now, is indeed circumstantial evidence because NONE of us are privy to what Mueller's team has, is there any reason you do NOT support allowing the Mueller and Cohen investigations to continue to their conclusion?
If your answer is no, please supply reasons why. If your answer is no, please advise why this level of circumstantial evidence would doom virtually any other American (black, white, HIllary or otherwise).
I want to remove him by legal means if he refuses to die or resign. I believe that he has committed impeachable or treasonous acts and hopefully will be brought to justice for them.
I don't believe the end justifies the means, but there;s nothing wrong with the means that are currently being used - i.e. the Mueller investigation.
Thanks Mark, respect the intelligent response, I understand your discussion point.
"Ask yourself and please provide answer to the group.......given the voluminous amount of what, at least as of right now, is indeed circumstantial evidence because NONE of us are privy to what Mueller's team has, is there any reason you do NOT support allowing the Mueller and Cohen investigations to continue to their conclusion?

If as widely suspected, the strategy to either remove from office or lessen any functionality of the president, depending on the viability of the political landscape is in fact in play, that's proving to be quite effective.
To your point, should or should not this go on in perpetuity...I have a feeling it will end shortly after the democrats fail to win the house.
(THREAD) Reporters' confusion over the difference between direct and circumstantial evidence has led to a dangerous false equivalence between Cohen's claim Trump knew of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting and Trump's denial. There's ample evidence Trump knew—read this thread to see it.
8:11 AM - 28 Jul 2018
1/ Direct evidence is seeing it rain. Circumstantial evidence is waking up, looking out your window, seeing that the grass is soaking wet, and taking that as *some* evidence it rained the night before. The *overwhelming majority* of evidence in criminal cases is *circumstantial*.
2/ Because reporters think—contrary to fact—that direct evidence isn't just the primary but in fact the only form of evidence in criminal cases, they're trying to "solve" the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting mystery by comparing the direct evidence each side has publicly presented.
3/ Reporters are thus doing exactly what Trump wants. What reporters don't realize is that Trump's position comes from the criminal-conspiracy playbook—get people to think that only the eyewitness testimony of the conspirators matters, then get all the conspirators to stay quiet.
4/ So reporters are noting that Cohen says Trump knew of the meeting, and that Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner say otherwise. They also are creating a false equivalence in terms of witness credibility, so I'll briefly address that problem first to get it out of the way.
5/ Liars testify against each other every day in America. In major criminal cases it often happens that both the defendant and the witnesses against him are bad guys. So how does the jury decide the question? Usually by looking at what each party has to lose by telling the truth.
6/ A guilty defendant—say, in this analogy, Trump—has everything to lose by telling the truth, so they lie. But a witness who has been—or may soon be—offered leniency is in the *opposite* situation: the government has produced the conditions under which the truth sets them free.
7/ Here, again, we find the danger of not understanding circumstantial evidence, because many reporters might read my preceding tweet and say, "Yes, but can't Michael Cohen just make up lies about what was said to him now, and then testify to those lies in order to get leniency?"
8/ The answer is "yes"—but *only if there's no circumstantial evidence that will tell the government whether Cohen is lying or not*. If Cohen—who *doesn't know* what circumstantial evidence the feds have—lies to them, he not only would lose his deal but face *new felony changes*.
9/ That's why, every single day in American courts, juries believe witnesses who are bad people but are hoping for, about to receive, or have already received leniency: because, *on average*, they're more reliable than defendants. And circumstantial evidence explains why that is.
10/ What this means is Cohen *isn't* a good guy, is *not* normally reliable, and in a *vacuum* would likely be considered as untrustworthy as Don Jr. (remembering that no one is as untrustworthy as Trump himself, because Trump is a *pathological* liar). But we're not in a vacuum.
11/ So we can't use some all-things-being-equal comparison for the credibility of three people usually without credibility (Cohen, Don Jr., Kushner) and one permanently without credibility (Trump). Cohen's hope for a deal means he must be honest or face current *and* new charges.
12/ With that out of the way—now that we understand that Cohen begins *this* particular situation presumptively more credible than any of Trump, Don Jr., and Kushner, who all have much to lose by telling the truth—we can talk about the *other* evidence Cohen is being honest here.
13/ The case for a witness' credibility is built *inductively* rather than *deductively*. This means that you don't just start and end with what they say—which, if they're an eyewitness, is "direct" evidence—you *contextualize what they say* amidst the "circumstantial" evidence.
14/ The amount of circumstantial evidence that Donald Trump knew of the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting at which his three top lieutenants sought to illegally conspire with the Kremlin as to both computer and election crimes is *staggering*. Not just "notable," but *staggering*.
15/ Everyone *really* needs to understand this—because reporters aren't explaining it to you. But someone with my background (former criminal investigator and criminal attorney) literally *can't* look at this situation, because of my training, through any other lens but this one.
16/ And what you need to understand is that a criminal investigator *rarely* has this much circumstantial evidence to corroborate the already presumptively reliable testimony of a man—Cohen—who can only secure his freedom if he tells a truth the circumstantial evidence verifies.
17/ First, we look at the location of the suspect—Trump—in relation to the site of conspiracy (a room in Trump Tower on June 9, 2016). This is a big goddamn world, so if you work *inductively* you start from the assumption Trump could've been *anywhere in the world* at that time.
18/ At the time the criminal conspiracy—receipt of illegal campaign contributions from a foreign power, and conspiracy to commit computer crimes against the United States—Trump was... ...about 20 yards from the conspiracy in physical space. That's probative inculpatory evidence.
19/ You then look at the question of "dominion." Who *controlled*—and who had *access* to—the space in which the crime occurred? The answer is... ...Trump *owned* the space in which the crime occurred and the conspirators *couldn't have entered it* had he opposed their entrance.
20/ You then look at the *first- and second-order relationships* between the suspect—Trump—and the conspirators. Mind you, the discrete class of "conspirators" includes not just Trump Jr., Manafort, and Kushner; not just the Russian visitors; but also those who *set up* the meet.
21/ CONSPIRATORS' RELATIONSHIP TO SUSPECT (DONALD TRUMP) A. Agalarov: BUSINESS PARTNER E. Agalarov: FRIEND Trump Jr.: SON Kushner: SON-IN-LAW Manafort: CAMPAIGN MANAGER Goldstone: ACQUAINTANCE This relationship map, as you can see, is absolutely *devastating* for Donald Trump.
22/ So let's recap where we are so far: the crime occurs in a space controlled by DONALD TRUMP, twenty yards from where DONALD TRUMP is, and involves—in planning and execution—six people known well to DONALD TRUMP, including two related by family and three professional relations.
23/ (And of course we add to that mid-investigation check-in the fact that the most reliable witness we have *in the current circumstances* is clearly Michael Cohen, and Cohen says that Trump knew about the meeting. So far, our circumstantial evidence *backs up* what Cohen says.)
24/ Okay, so now that we've established the relationships, we look at power dynamics. Does Donald Trump have any special authority or leverage with the conspirators who were meeting in his house while he was twenty yards away? The next tweet offers a chart laying out those facts.
25/ AUTHORITY OF THE SUSPECT (TRUMP) OVER CONSPIRATORS A. Agalarov: BUSINESS PARTNER E. Agalarov: BUSINESS PARTNER Trump Jr.: BUSINESS BOSS/FATHER Kushner: POLITICAL BOSS/FATHER-IN-LAW Manafort: POLITICAL BOSS All others: GUESTS IN HIS HOME Now let's unpack these connections.
26/ Trump and the Agalarovs were in business (under an LoI) involving *hundreds of millions of dollars*, plus the Agalarovs knew from prior exchanges with Putin that Putin wanted to develop a good relationship with Trump. Emin previously asked Trump to be in a music video of his.
27/ So if the Agalarovs set up a meeting in *Trump's home* and *disrespect Trump* by not being certain he knows the meeting is happening in *his home*, they stand to face the following: * Putin's ire * loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in signed/anticipated future revenue
28/ Meanwhile, Trump Jr., Manafort, and Kushner all *work for* Trump. If they hold a meeting with a foreign nation in *his house* and then *never tell him about it even though it's immediately relevant to something he cares deeply about*, the consequences they face could be dire.
29/ CONSPIRATORS' CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT REVEALING MEETING TO TRUMP AGALAROVS: Putin's ire/huge revenue loss DON JR: impact on corporate job/family relationship/inheritance KUSHNER: impact on political job/power/family relationship MANAFORT: Deripaska's ire/impact on political job
30/ Keep in mind—as you read this—that we're only halfway through the investigatory analysis. Also keep in mind what mainstream media reporters are saying about this issue, which is—while implicitly fiddling their lips—"Uh, how could we *ever* know who's telling the truth here?"
31/ We now move to the next inquiry: the *context*. The first and most obvious question is, what was the suspect (Trump) doing on the day of the crime that he was sitting in his office just twenty yards from it while it happened in a space entirely under his dominion and control?
32/ As it happens, we actually know the answer to that: major-media reports indicate Donald Trump was scheduled to meet that day with Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner to discuss... *wait for it*... ...an upcoming speech discussing "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. {pause for breath}
33/ So Trump was sitting in his house discussing *Clinton dirt* with Manafort and Kushner; Manafort and Kushner then excused themselves to go to a different room in the house to discuss *Clinton dirt* with the Russians; they then came back to Trump and said...per Trump...nothing!
34/ It's important to note that if we only had the fact I've just told you and virtually nothing else besides the basics of the case (Trump's dominion over the space and relationships with the conspirators), likely more than 80% of jurors would conclude Trump knew of the meeting.
35/ Fortunately, we have so much more. Because *after* Trump Jr. got the email from Goldstone about the meeting but *before* the meeting happened, Trump himself announced publicly that he'd soon be giving a speech about... ...Clinton dirt! What an amazing "coincidence" that is.
36/ I suspect the *only* thing more probative (broadly, "proving") of the fact that Donald Trump knew about the meeting beforehand *and* what happened at it would be if he then *cancelled* his speech on Clinton dirt after the Russians failed to produce it... ...which he did.
37/ But of course there are *many* additional probative "contextual" facts beyond this one, starting with the fact that Trump Jr. made or received three phone calls from a blocked number right as he was furiously calling and emailing with Goldstone and Emin to set the meeting up.
38/ And Donald Trump Jr. is *so stupid* that he did the *only thing he could do* that would convince a criminal investigator that those calls were to and from his dad: he lied not just about whether he remembered them but *whether his dad calls from a blocked number*. Oh, Junior!
39/ Investigators will sometimes let pass—because they have to—a person's claim that they can't remember who they spoke to on a day a year prior to the day they're testifying about it, especially if (due to a blocked number) there's no phone record that can refresh their memory.
40/ But Donald Trump Jr.—perhaps to his credit—is a less experienced liar and felon than his dad, so he made the mistake of telling the one lie that (because he speaks to his dad regularly and would *know* if his number comes up blocked) *confirms* he wanted to hide those calls.
41/ By the way, everything I've said so far is just the *basic work* of being a criminal investigator and/or criminal attorney, two jobs I did for a total of nearly a decade in three jurisdictions. I've *no idea* why no one in mainstream media is making these *very* basic points.
42/ The final category of analysis involves not the *immediate* context but the *broader* context—what happened in the weeks and months *before* the meeting and what happened in the weeks and months *after* the meeting. Both those analyses offer a *staggering* amount of evidence.
43/ *Before* Emin reached out to Don Jr.—and let me say this *very* clearly—Donald Trump, the current president, *knew* he was in the midst of clandestine negotiations with the Kremlin because *one of his top national security advisers told him so to his face*. On March 31, 2016.
44/ I won't rehash the many threads I did on this, but on March 31, 2016, George Papadopoulos told Trump to his face that he—Papadopoulos—was a Kremlin intermediary seeking to establish an ongoing clandestine Trump-Putin policy discussion. Trump promoted Papadopoulos immediately.
45/ Indeed, Trump made Papadopoulos—a nominal expert in Middle Eastern energy issues—one of his top people on *Russia* issues and put him to work co-editing his first foreign policy speech, which would (at the Mayflower Hotel on April 27) promise Putin a "good deal" on sanctions.
46/ His top lieutenant—his Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort—thereafter oversaw *repeated* back-channel overtures from the Kremlin, both to Papadopoulos and others, in April and May and early June. The same Manafort who went to the June 2016 meeting as Trump's designated top agent.
47/ So the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting was merely the *continuation* of an ongoing negotiation Trump *already knew about*—meaning that it would make *no* sense for his top lieutenants (let alone his son, who was known to be obsequious to him and tell him everything) to hide it.
48/ Now to the *after-the-meeting* analysis. Trump—known as a micro-manager who blows his lid if ever he's kept in the dark, which is *another* inculpatory data-point here—took charge of the damage control once the meeting was revealed in '17. And he started criming *right away*.
49/ Trump committed Witness Tampering by demanding his son (known to be a federal witness) disseminate to the public—and for law enforcement's consumption—a statement he knew was false. He then *lied* about whether he'd told Don Jr. to lie by saying he didn't write the statement.
50/ I said over a year ago that, in my professional opinion as a criminal investigator and criminal lawyer—and as a matter of criminal evidence—there's *zero* chance Trump didn't know of this meeting. This *partial* review of the evidence confirms it. /end
(5) The chance that Trump did not know about a meeting his sons and campaign manager were having in his building while he was there is zero.
PS/ I reiterate that this *partial* analysis—using only public information, which information is only a *fraction* of what Mueller has access to—would establish in the mind of *any* law enforcement officer that Trump knew of the meeting *even if we didn't have Cohen's testimony*.
The Baby Boomers are the worst American generation since Reconstruction, but they had many reasons to turn out this way. The Boomers were raised in a political culture dominated by madmen, their minds warped at an early age.

It’s amazing, I never picked
Can’t make this shit up.

League of South has only 9000 members and is only important as a "news story" if you are trying to make an inflammatory, partisan point. It's says nothing about Trump voters or the South in general.

...While many CEOs, including IBM’s Ginni Rometty, publicly congratulated Trump after his Election Day victory, few of them provided services that played such a pivotal role in Trump’s campaign operations.

For some it may be the basis to explain Clinton's loss, but it is completely irrelevant when determining if a crime was committed. To insist the contrary indicates an ignorance of the law, or it is a desire to deflect from the multiple indictments and guilty pleas Mueller has filed.

Hillary was a flawed

From a sociological

None of us know what went

Consider:
Consider:

Judit,
Judit,
I do have unconditional love in my heart for all of you, if that were not the case I wouldn't say so, but it is in fact the truth, if I am repetitive then please forgive me.
Enjoy the day, thanks!

There you go again misrepresenting the argument. Clinton's vices/virtues are not the issue.
The issue is the criminal conspiracy between Russian forces and members of the trump campaign/GOP.
Do you think you can address the issue without bringing up Clinton or the idiotic deep state nonsense?
I doubt it.

Bryen, the warrant was
Bryen, the warrant was renewed 3 times.

Voter suppression:
Voter suppression in the 2016 Election:
- Gerrymandering
- Interstate cross check.
- Voter ID laws.
- Reduced early voting hours.
- Reduced polling places.
- Purged voter rolls ie: removal of names after not voting for 2 years.
- Changing polling places without notification.
- Intimidation (cops etc.)
- Elimination of Souls to the Polls
These are LEGAL ways Republicans have used to suppress the vote.
This doesn't not include the massive Russian attack on our election.

As a mental exercise,
As a mental exercise, honestly ask yourself, if there was a way to remove Donald Trump from the presidency on completely false premise, that was absolutely wrong & corrupt, but Trump would be out, would you support that?

32/ As it happens, we actually know the answer to that: major-media reports indicate Donald Trump was scheduled to meet that day with Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner to discuss... *wait for it*... ...an upcoming speech discussing "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. {pause for breath}
