More spam- cross post from Hammond thread

I just saw an article about Stevie wonder talking about Aretha and wasn't sure which thread I should post this in

maybe not my favorite venue but lots of good times including my first Arena rock show with cream was Oakland coliseum

(And since opinions are like assholes, we all have one or some of us more than one -- Eric was the third best musician in that band)

Many good times   The most moving was sitting behind the side stage maybe eight rows up and 15 to 20 yards away from Stevie

A fantastic show and super emotional and when he was done he explained partially why we were so connected

right before coming on stage he learned that John Lennon had been killed and he laid it all out with us and for us

We all cried and I still am

peace to all

Don't go yet.

How did you feel about the Oakland Aud?

thx

That is some impressive work there, Bryen- but no Red Rocks is  blasphemy.

The Spectrum *** sigh ***

Charles Ives Center , Danbury CT  ( Mule blew my mind there and I won't go back because nothing will ever live up to the memory of that day ) !

Many, many zoners and the acoustics ( speakers in the trees behind and all around us) were fantastic  <3.

I can't believe someone mentioned Maritime Hall. That is unquestionably the worst sounding venue I have ever heard a note of music played in. Do you like it just because Phil played there??

Horrible

Thx Bryen and all. Guess I been to many of these spots and its FuREAKIN ME OUT MAN!!!  in a good way of course.laugh  Specially like the French's Camp, and Spectrum.

My current favorite "local" venue - one hour away - is Cuthbert Amphitheater. Dance pit in front, then rows of seats, then flat lawn, then sloped lawn. Great sight lines and sound. GD never played there but I have seen Phil and Dylan there, along with a bunch of other bands too numerous to mention - or remember!

They could improve the food.

The old fish house.

DNB Tore it up there a couple times.

Where are you from Bryen?

I think I asked you that.

The Fox in Atlanta.

Got lower balcony and downstairs for the last GD run in '85, even though I missed the first mail order date, I still received both nights, THOSE were the days. laugh

Sent back GDTS tickets for the '86 Fox shows in St Louis. broken heart

Don't see the Tower in Upper Darby, could get their in about 10 minutes from '75 to '95 if I made a few green lights.
