Happy birthday and thank you to Jorma. Fifteen years or so ago, I got a phone call from Grandma Jimp. she had watched Hardly Strictly Bluegrass on television and she discovered a great performer she thought I would love. I don't recall whether I told her that he was playing guitar on all those Hot Tuna and Airplane albums I used to play in my room. Turns out that Tuna was playing two miles from my house the previous night. It took us about a year before we caught a Jorma show, but over the decade or so, we saw him about a dozen times. When I took her to the Keswick November 2015 to see Hot Tuna, that was her present for her 88th birthday. It was her last concert. Thanks to Jorma for the great times I had with my mom.
Thanks, Tom. She really did enjoy seeing Dylan, as well as Jorma. She also liked Robert Hunter. Mom was a big Josh Ritter fan, and you couldn't keep her away from George T. & the Destroyers. Glad you got to meet her.
