On the Morning Dew radio show on www.WBAI.org and WBAI-FM 99.5 FM, NY, late Saturday (early Sunday 9/23/18) 1-3 AM, I will be airing birthday tributes to Ray Charles (1930), Bruce Springsteen(1949), and John Coltrane (1926) each of whom was born on this day. I will feature some rare studio outtakes and live recordings and a wide variety of sidemen such as Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, David Fathead Newman and early solo Springsteen among many others.

A bunch of us drove from Salt Lake to see Bruce in 1985. Caught a birthday show in Denver's Mile High Stadium, the "Born In The USA" tour.
Our tickets were actually for the 22nd, but 32 degrees and sleet changed that.

I have been working on this one for 5 days & its uploading now at just 28 % finished.
It may just make the West Coast time before mid-night for an anniversary party?
It such a great show & fall tour; but its cursed.
In 2001 I took the 3 CDs with me on a business trip down to Cherry Hill NJ. "Blonder Tongue Labs, awesome account!
I was smoking a joint in my car on the NJ Tpk, and some NJ cops were alerted at the toll booth and I got busted as I was pulling into my motel.
Had to go back down to NJ the following month for a court appearance & got speeding Ticket while that show was playing
